It was yet another day of school, the weather was not the greatest, it was mostly cloudy and so dark, it definitely looked like it was gonna rain. The weather seemed to mirror what I was feeling right now.

It has been almost a week since I have spoken to Sarah and so far I had heard nothing from her. It was frustrating, infuriating but most of all it felt like a part of me was missing, it was really ridiculous considering I only knew her name and nothing else but it was how I was feeling. I had focused on my studies and taking care of the others but it was not enough to erase her voice from my thoughts.

I sighed frustrated at myself for focusing so much on one woman, she clearly didn't want to talk otherwise she would reach out to me.

I had just come back from my jog so I headed up to my room for my morning routine. After having a shower I got dressed in dark blue skinny jeans, a red blouse that hugged my waist and 4 inch black boots. I have always been a tomboy but I could wear a pair of boots every so often. Of course on top of all that I put on my black leather jacket.

I decided to let my hair down which fell in waves over my back. My hair was black, a colour so dark most people believed it was dyed when in truth it was natural. I didn't mind at all, the colour of my hair made my eyes stand out even more, they were dark green in colour with golden flecks.

I head down to my car, not really bothering with breakfast, I didn't feel like being in the middle of a war zone today. I lean against my car and close my eyes, yet again her voice invades my head as I remember the last time I spoke to her.

                                                           *******************

"Morning El. It was weird not seeing you at breakfast today."

" I wasn't feeling up to seeing everyone, I honestly just wanted to be alone."

A look of concern flashes across Jake's face but it was gone as quickly as it came. " Well I made sure to grab you some pancakes so here you go. I put them in a container so they should stay hot for a while."

I smile at that, he was really sweet. " Thanks Jake"

At seeing me smile Jake lets out a small sigh of relief. I know that him and the twins have noticed that something is off about me and although they are worried, they know that once I'm ready to talk about it I will so they keep their distance.

"Morning Elektra" Came the joined greeting of the twins. They had big grins on their faces and I could swear that there was a spring in their step. What the hell is going on with these two? They are never this happy in the morning, especially Jason, he hated school and getting up early.

"Ummm are you guys alright?" Jake seemed as confused as I was as to why they were so happy first thing in the morning.

"What? Is it a crime to be happy?"

"Yes" Me and Jake say at the same time making Jason roll his eyes at us.

"It's two weeks until we turn sixteen and finally find our mates. That's enough reason to be happy right?" I looked at Jake but he just shrugged not knowing how to respond to the mood the twins were in today.

"I guess that's a good reason... Anyway get your asses in the car, it looks like its gonna rain at any minute and we still need to pick up Lex."

"Actually El..." Jayd speaks up looking a little nervous "...I was wondering if you could also give a ride to Max?" She blushes slightly.

" Yeah that's alright" Her face splits into a smile. "How is your project going?"

"We are almost finished, we have two more weeks until we have to present it in class, but we won't need that long."
