Chapter 18

Author's note: Hey guys, again thank you for reading my story. 😊 So this chapter has... a borderline smut scene between two girls. If you have read this far then you are probably fine with that but I just wanted to give a heads up.

Jayd's POV

Max

Go to her, NOW

Max was still staring at me, she didn't seem to know whether or not to look away.

GO!

Eager much?

My mate, I want to see my mate

Our mate

Shut up and just go to her.

Slowly but surely my body started moving in Max's direction. I saw her eyes widen, probably surprised that I was approaching her considering the last time we spoke she simply left me in the music room whilst she dragged her boyfriend with her.

She is our mate, he will not be touching her again

I will break every bone in his body if he does

Lune growled her approval at the idea of hurting Thomas and claiming what is ours. I took one more step, coming face to face with Max that had a look of apprehension with a hint of happiness.

Guess she missed us

Of course she did. Mate would not hurt us

We will see

I was getting nervous which was very unlike me. Her presence sent my body and my wolf into a frenzy, making it difficult to control myself around her.

"Hey" she says shyly, giving me an awkward wave.

"Hi" I reply with what I am sure is a goofy grin. "We need to talk."

She nods her head. She turned to the group of people that were with her and said something along the lines of 'she is leaving with a friend'. I wasn't paying attention as I was admiring the beauty that is my mate.

At this point I was out right gawking at her which made it very difficult to hide when she suddenly turned around and looked straight at me. I could feel myself blush, a reaction I am sure she saw as her cheeks also turned a light shade of pink.

"Come on." I urge as I take it upon myself to grab her hand, loving the sparks that flew through my arm as I did.

She must have felt them as well because she tried to jerk her hand away from mine, only to have me hold it tighter.

"Don't push me away."

I plead. She looks surprised at my request or maybe at the vulnerability I am sure she saw in my eyes. I was far from emotional but this was my mate we were talking about, I could not lose her.

She simply nodded her head and allowed me to lead her away from the school car park and onto the football fields.

The sparks had not stopped. Every time my body touched hers, my skin erupted in tiny fireworks. I knew she felt them and I knew that she was aware that I was 'accidently' bumping into her on purpose, solely so I could feel those sparks.

"I'm sorry."

She says out of nowhere, making me stop abruptly. I turn to her wanting to know why she apologised but she would not look me in the eye. Slowly I moved my free hand to her chin and lightly pushed it up so she had no choice but to look at me.
