Long time no see! I apologise for not updating for so long so here is a new chapter. Enjoy 😊

Elektra's POV

My feet pounded the dirt as I moved swiftly through the forest, dodging low hanging branches and uneven ground, focusing solely on what I had to do.

The closer I got to our borders, the stronger the smell of blood seemed to cling to the air. It was in every breath I took as I began to fear that by the time I would get there, our warriors would have been defeated. With Victoria's potion, the rogues far surpassed our own fighters in strength and agility, making me assume the worst.

A couple more minutes went by before I finally caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a full blown war zone. I counted 50 rogues in total, their pitch black fur and crimson eyes making them easily identifiable. Our warriors outnumbered them by twenty, however they all appeared to be wounded, large gashes and bite marks visible throughout their bodies.

The rogues had wounds as well, most of them gushing blood from their necks where another shifter had sunk their teeth into them but they fought and moved as if they did not hurt, as if they were just flesh wounds.

The monster within me soured with excitement, our mate completely forgotten, being replaced by the opportunity to create havoc and raise hell without care for the consequences. The beast could already see the dead bodies of our enemies whilst we stood in triumph over their lifeless corpses.

It did not demand control of my body, seemingly content in waiting. Letting go of the last of my conscious mind, I allowed myself to be enveloped by the beasts power, giving it full control to do as it pleases.

FINALLY

My body takes on a mind of its own as I crouch down on my back legs, lower myself on my hands and raise my backside in the air, essentially getting on all fours. My lips curl over my lips making my fangs more prominent, my eyes shimmer abnormally making them sparkle with the sunlight as I prepare myself for what is to come.

Satisfied with our position, the beast lets out an earth shattering growl that alerts our enemies to our arrival yet they have little time to react as I take off, becoming but a blur in their eyes. Within seconds I am in front of one of the rogues, looking up at its massive body with an excited smirk on my face as it moves to bite my head off.

Bending my knees in order to create momentum, I jump upwards, leaving a dent on the ground where I stood as I grab the shifter by the throat with one hand, forcing him on his back. This sequence takes only five seconds to execute so you can imagine the surprise on everyone's snout when one of their own is on the ground with a petite teenage girl on top of him. It was a sight to see.

Not being one for games, I swiftly grab his head and twist it until I hear his neck crack, effectively killing the animal beneath me. Throwing one last glance at my handy work, I move my eyes to my next target, a grin permanently fixed on my face.

Enraged at the death of one of their own, two rogues make their way to me, each one taking up positions by my side. Deciding to have a little fun with them, I remained where I stood until they were five feet away from me, at which point I flitted backwards and away from the impact.

Prompting myself against a tree and crossing my arms in front of my body, I watched in amusement as the shifters collided head first. Howls of pain were heard from both rogues as they righted themselves.

With a wide smirk I draw their attention to me once more. "That was amusing, thank you for the entertainment, mutts."

Their enraged growls rise in volume, almost deafening and a little disorienting, creating harmony in the otherwise horrifying sound. Five rogues charge at me but are suddenly stopped in their tracks by the warriors who strike them from the side as they are distracted by my presence.
