Hey guys, I know it's been a while and I apologise for that. Here is a new chapter, hope you enjoy it

Elektra's POV

My body felt heavy, my head pounded against my skull, bringing wave after wave of pain crashing down on me. My body did not appear to be any better; it felt heavy and sore throughout, as if I had jumped from a fifth floor apartment and had crashed onto the pavement below at high speeds.

My memories were foggy at best, snippets of situations, images without meaning, circling my mind as if taunting me.

Moving did not appear to be an option so my assumption is that I am unconscious though I cannot seem to remember how I got into this situation.

Elektra

Yes?

The voice is familiar to me but I'm having a hard time pinpointing from where I recognise it. The main emotion coming through is concern and apprehension and I take a moment until I try again.

Where are you?

You already know the answer. There are more pressing matters at hand

Though her words seemed genuine, there was little I remembered so the urgency in her words did very little to alarm me.

You need to remember

Remember what?

The conversation is going nowhere and the effort it takes to speak, even whilst unconscious, takes a lot out of me.

You have no time for this, Elektra

In this world where there is no sense of time, her words hold no meaning. I still could not remember who she was nor could I remember anything from when I was awake so I remained still in hope that she would go away.

I cannot do as you ask. I cannot remember

You leave me no choice then. I am sorry, Elektra

If I had any sense of a body, I believe my eyebrows would be furrowing to show my confusion at her words. There was nothing but silence for a few seconds until finally there was a bright light and a series of images began to arrange themselves on thin air, playing in order as if it they were part of a movie.

Then reality came crashing down...

Sarah's POV

To say that there was chaos would be an understatement.

There was noise and confusion everywhere you looked and even as everything began to fall back into place, no one could explain what had happened. As Elektra fainted, I rushed to her side to prevent her fall as the Alpha gave orders for warriors to hunt down the witch but I knew it would be in vain. She was long gone and so was the body of the boy she held.

The events that followed are a blur. I remember shouting and yelling, shifters running around without a purpose, looking down on the bodies of their enemies wondering how it all happened but not really knowing despite having witnessed it.

I grabbed onto my mate for dear life, glad that she was alive and appalled at myself for feeling relieved that it was not my mate that was now in the hands of Victoria. It wasn't long before my warriors began to form a circle around me, asking if I had been injured and advising that it would be best to return to the pack house so my mate could be checked by the doctor.

I nodded, still dazed, and slowly began to rise from my crouching position as I lifted Elektra into my arms. I was led away from the war zone and the number of dead bodies that lay scattered on the ground, momentarily forgotten in the chaos.
