Magnus, Alec, and I looked around the nearest den which was in a hidden alleyway for Izzy. Three men lay dead, the markings that azazel had been there.
"Azazels been here." Alec voiced my thoughts, looking on the opposite side of me.
I spotted a full glint of silver and held up the necklace, the red ruby broken. "Izzy's necklace." I drew their attention
Back at the institute, Clary and Jace stood beside Alec and I around the blue lit table. My hand was tightly gripping the necklace as I grit my jaw.
"I can't find her." I slammed the necklace to the table. "Something's blocking her from me, and our bond is strong enough to read each others mind." I said and Clary shook her head.
"I thought she had the flu, why would she leave the institute?" I closed my eyes, that's what we had told everyone on Izzy's request.
"I don't know." Alec lied, he and I were the only people that knew the truth other than Aldertree and Magnus and Raphael.
"How do we even know he has her?" Jace suggested and it did make a point, however the part of me that was freaking out ran my mouth.
"Because I can always feel her Jace." I almost shouted. "And now I can't." I was so scared, now I know what Alec went through with Jace.
"Piper we're going to find her." Clary soothed but I backed up, making sure they kept their diffrence.
"You don't understand Clary, this is different." I couldn't describe Izzy's bond.
"We do." Alec motioned to Jace and himself. "And shes my sister, so I promise that we are going to find her." He put a hand on my shoulder to comfort me.
"We're going to go and talk to Valentine." Clary motioned to her and Jace but I snatched jaces arm pulling his ear close to my lips.
"You better tell her Goldie locks." I said before he went off in his own direction.
"Piper." Alec looked at me and I leaned against the table.
"I can't feel her, but I know she's alive." I sighed closing my eyes. "This is all my fault, Alec I'm so sorry, she's your little sister and...and..." I groaned.
"Piper I'm not mad at you." He shook his head and my eyes darted up to his. "You we're doing what Izzy told you to, don't blame yourself." He placed one of his large hands on the side of my neck and the other on my jaw. I leaned into his hands, smiling, I could smell his cologne and everlasting scent of cinnamon and leather. He kissed my forehead and I wrapped my arms around him.
"Come on shorty, we've got work to do." He chuckled lightly and I scoffed.
"I'm not short, your just a giant." My head came barely above his shoulder.
Clary and Jace's plan was to use Valentine as bait and have Magnus summon him. It seemed like a good plan but that's how all bad plans started out. Reluctantly I was bent over, drawing the pentagram onto the floor while Alec stood behind me.
"Alec you could do something more than stand behind me." I scowled, not looking away from the star I was drawing.
"I am, besides, I've got a great view." I turned to look at him grinning at me and I rolled my eyes.
"Your as dirty as a teenage boy." I said, yet turned back around to finish up.
"Alec, save that for the bedroom." Jace said walking in with his smirk directed towards us. "You both need to focus."
