ERIC - (=^x^=)
length: 2 part? 1 part?
P.O.V: 3rd & reader insert
~~~~Y/N hasn't seen her crush in three years. It's been three years since she talked to him. She has his phone number, but is too terrified to text or call him. What if he doesn't remember her? What if he doesn't care about her anymore? Those doubts always cross Y/N's head.
They used to be close friends, too, so it was especially devastating when he suddenly had to leave school to debut with a boy group. It made him famous at school. Girls drooled over his pictures that were spread through the internet, and it made Y/N jealous, and dread his disappearance even more.
His name is Eric.
He was a quiet kid at school- at least that was how others perceived him to be. Y/N knew he was a loud and rambunctious kid at heart, but was shy to the public, which was mostly why he didn't have as many friends as he deserved. Y/N never texted him- maybe the occasional greeting, but not a full conversation. He was her crush! She had a right to feel embarrassed and afraid.
But she regretted not being in contact with him earlier. They probably were strangers at this point. Y/N sighed. She stared at her phone while lying on her bed. She had been like this for a while now, ever since Eric occupied her mind and thoughts again. Why was she suddenly thinking of him again? She didn't know. Her feelings for him still lingered, but she could barely remember him, except for how he looked like. She knew small traits of his and habits, but nothing significant that would make him recognizable.
"I have to be productive," Y/N scolded herself. She decided to go to the park the two always went to 3 years ago. She changed and headed outside. She sat on a wooden bench when she arrived at the public park, people wandering around with dogs or their lovers. She felt envious of couples coming in and out. It pained her to watch them helplessly. She missed Eric. But maybe he changed a lot to the point she stopped liking him completely.
Suddenly the clouds gathered overhead and thunder rumbled in the distance. Rain zipped down from the heavy, darkening clouds and created puddles at her feet. The grass became damp and people hustled out of the park quickly, umbrellas perched above their heads. The pattering sound of rain echoed throughout the vast park.
Y/N groaned in dismay. She should've checked the weather first! Her hair became drenched in an instant, and her clothes were soggy and wet. She stood up and rubbed her hands together to produce heat; even if it was just a small portion. She stood still, however, allowing the rain to pour down on her. It was cold, but she welcomed it. When did she long for Eric this much?
Probably the time when she had been locked out of her own house after an argument with her parents. She had roamed around the neighborhood a lot, and had begun crying. She had searched for Eric, but didn't know where he lived or where he was at that moment. But she never did find Eric that day, and was left alone, sobbing at the sidewalk leading to her house.
Y/N was snapped out of her thoughts when she felt the rain halt. "Huh?" It was so immediate it made her wonder. She glanced up and discovered a dark pink umbrella shielding her from the rain. The familiar pitter patter of rain sounded from the umbrella. She glanced behind her and found the one she's been looking for all this time.
"E-Eric?"
