I was glued to place, unable to move or even open my mouth to scream.

I was shouting at myself inside my head to get the hell out of there before I actually get flattened like a pancake and die.

At one point, I accepted it, embracing my "fate" with open arms, until I was tugged back to reality by someone grabbing me by the arm and yanking me away from that spot.

Everything was a blur and the world whirled around me, feeling light-headed but also a throbbing sensation in my head.

I couldn't focus on whoever it was that saved me yet again.

Then I heard a loud crash that rang through my ears, making me wince. Hollers and screams and crying could be heard from behind me as well as police sirens from a close distance.

I held back the vomit that threatened to escape and I staggered to the ground after I was let go.

I fell onto my hands and knees on the concrete, speechless and unable to articulate any words.

Visibly trembling, I glanced up.

And there was Sunwoo, standing over me, heavily panting with his hands on his knees, bent over.

"S-Sunwoo?" I finally was able to speak.

He broke out into a smile, crouching down next to me.

"Never woulda guessed, huh?" He grinned.

"Oh my god..." I covered my mouth with my hand.

After all this time, I finally was able to see the face of my savior, and I was so relieved and glad that it turned out to be Sunwoo.

I mean, I might've had a slight crush on him anyway.

Feeling emotional and happy, I forgot about what just happened and threw myself onto him, hugging him tightly.

Gasping for air, Sunwoo choked out, "I'm suffocating, Y/N. Let me go!"

I let go of him and I laughed, a little teary-eyed, not really knowing why. Maybe it was from the terror of the metal bar almost falling on top of me, maybe it was from finally knowing the face of who has saved me all these years, or maybe it was just relief.

"Are you okay? You're not hurt anywhere, are you?" He asked, helping me get back onto my feet.

I took in a deep breath and shook my head. "I'm fine, actually. Thanks.."

"I mean, it's what I do for a living," He joked.

With a smile on my face, I asked, "Well, where were you going?"

"Eh, nowhere, really," He shrugged. "Just decided to have a walk. Or maybe I had a gut feeling that you'd need saving," He added with a laugh.

I rolled my eyes with exasperation. "Well, I'm fine now, so why don't we go to the cafe?"

There were people gathered around the place where the metal bar had fallen, and some were even recording us two on their phones.

Ignoring them, I led Sunwoo to the cafe right around the corner.

"You know, Sunwoo," I began once we sat down and got our drinks and food. I played around with my slice of chocolate cake and looked down at the intricate designs on the glass plate.
