HWALL - ▽・x・▽
length: 3 part
P.O.V: 3rd & reader insert
~~~~"Hwall...?" Y/N sputtered. "...? Yes?" Hwall answered, tilting his head to one side, puzzled. He removed his hand from her face and stood up, offering a hand. She took his hand in hers and he helped haul her up to her feet, where she wobbled before standing still. She was still upset about the disappearance of her doll, which she couldn't live without. She was now certain that the lady that was guided out of the Flower Snack was the person who stole it. "Y/N, are you okay? Please tell me you are!" Her friends began fussing over her nonstop, examining her reddened wound and cupping her face into their hands with eyes shrouded in worry.
"Guys, I'm not some child!" Y/N pouted, puffing out her cheeks in defiance. "Aw, but you look and act like one!" Mina giggled. Krysta agreed with a curt nod of her head. "Yup! We can't lie, Y/N," she planted her hands on her hips. Y/N grouchily stuck her tongue out at them before heading to the entrance. "I have business to take care of! I'll be right back!" She fluttered her fingers at her friends who dumbfoundedly stared at Y/N, who's smirk flipped into a frown as she sauntered out. Y/N and Hwall both knew how important the polar bear was. The doll had gone through so much with Y/N AND Hwall together, so it had a significant impact on both of them. But Hwall didn't remember their past. Hwall was also gazing after Y/N, who soon vanished from his sight as she turned the corner. He was pretty sure he remembered her... She was vaguely familiar to him, but no matter how much he racked his brain for the answer, he couldn't find any.
Then he suddenly remembered. It was as if a lightbulb had gone off in his head. Hwall shoved his hand into his apron pocket but was shocked to find only air in the vacant pocket. "What...? Where'd it go?" He untied his apron and turned it upside down, but was still surprised to find nothing falling out. "Huh?" He put on the apron once again and got Sunwoo to tie it for him. They resumed working and the customers continued eating and conversing, but Hwall couldn't turn back to normal after what he witnessed. What happened? Why'd they fight? Where'd the doll go? He could only pull out some ridiculous conclusions from what he saw.
But maybe they were right.
Hwall believed that, maybe, the two were fighting over his doll. Or maybe he dropped his doll near the customer that had been kicked out... And Y/N (he overheard her friends calling her name), who gave the doll to him, noticed and went to retrieve it, but figured out the other person had stolen it... He scratched his head. What kind of crazy thoughts was he having? They probably just were... Arguing about something. Right. Just arguing. He sighed.
Y/N found the lady sitting alone on a bench. "Excuse me, miss! I demand you give my doll back!" She shouted, stomping her foot on the ground to emphasize her command. "Oh boo, hoo. Sad that your little doll is gone?" The stranger took out the dirtied miniature polar bear doll with a smirk tweaking the corners of her lips up. "First of all, what's your name? So I don't have to call you trash all the time," Y/N sneered. "My name is Eunha, and watch your mouth! I'm the daughter of a famous CEO of a famous company, and we can sue you right now at this instant!" Eunha bellowed.
"For what? Taking back what's rightfully mine?" Y/N crossed her eyes and blew a strand of hair out of her face. Eunha became infuriated. "For your information, it fell out of Hwall's pocket! Not yours! Finders keepers losers weepers!" Eunha countered with a devilish grin. "What if I told you I was the one that gave it to him?" Y/N jeered. "Then I wouldn't want to give it to you more!" Eunha cackled. "You really think you're going to get this back? You can try, honey," she laughed half-heartedly. "Give it! It's important to me. This isn't fun and games, you piece of trash- Oh, oops. I mean Eunha," Y/N snarled.
"Fight to get it! Or just give up and turn your sorry ass away and go back to where you belong. The trashcan," Eunha shook her head and stood up, squaring up Y/N. She was taller than Y/N and seemed much stronger. She scrutinized the puny girl and burst out into a bout of laughter. "You're so tiny you can just be squashed, like a filthy bug," Eunha insulted. Y/N punched her when she was off guard. Eunha yelped and stumbled, falling onto the bench. She then threw herself onto Y/N, who grunted as she was effortlessly flung onto the hard cement. People passed her and shot them looks but walked past them without another glance.
Y/N knew she was going to lose the fight. But why not lose but take something back? She rolled over and heaved herself up. She snatched Eunha's purse that was loosely slung around her wrist. "Hey! Give it back, you thief!" Y/N ran down the alleyway with the purse. She dug through it and found the polar bear she was looking for. She stuffed it safely and securely into her back pocket. She threw Eunha's bag over a barbed wire fence, where wild street dogs began tearing away at eagerly. Y/N smiled before she was tackled to the ground by Eunha.
When Y/N returned, everyone had gone. The doors were still open, however, but all the customers had left. Even her friends. Where'd they go? She limped inside and hid her face with her hands, trying not to let anyone see her bruised face. Her hands were cut up and red, but she had applied bandages over her knuckles. She also had pasted on bandages all over her face, and it was hideous to look at. She grabbed her jacket from one of the stools and bowed her head to the boys who seemed to be resting before scurrying outside.
She leaned against the wall right outside the building and slumped down. Y/N sighed. Her friends took this opportunity and ditched her. She tried contacting them, but there were no replies. "One call, that's all! We'll reply in a second!" her friends used to say. But now, they'd betrayed her. She brushed back her hair and took out her polar bear doll. It was ruined, but it still held its importance to her. She pressed it against her chest and hugged it before burying her face into her propped up knees. She cried silently and softly. No one heard her. No one.
