SUNWOO & HWALL - Requested By joochams
P.O.V: 3rd & name: Park Haemin
length: 3 part
~~~~"Hey! Park Haemin! Come back here!"
Haemin laughed, fluttering her fingers slyly at her friend who was chasing after her. "Admit it, Kim Sunwoo, you deserved it!" She cheekily flashed a smile at him as she continued running effortlessly, her breathing rhythmic and shallow. She skidded to a stop in front of the school building, sticking her tongue out to Sunwoo immaturely. "Toodles, pig!" She called before slipping into the gates.
Sunwoo panted heavily as he finally arrived at school. It was a pain to live in the same neighborhood as her. She was a mischievous child, and always found someone to toy with and prank. Almost every morning, she would secretly go to his house and climb up his wall. Then she would pry open the window (no matter how tightly he locked it) and slip inside. Today, she poured a bucket of ice water onto him. It wasn't funny to him, even if it was entertaining to her.
Haemin was a messy girl, and didn't ever care about how others perceived her. That was, until she had a crush on someone.
Sunwoo fixed his uniform before entering the school building, scouring the lockers for Haemin so he could have his revenge. "So despicable," He muttered to himself as he searched the interior for his friend. He walked inside his homeroom, which he shared with Haemin. Surprisingly, she was sitting right at her desk. Normally, she would be out and about, roaming the halls and finding a target to experiment her traps on. She always was sent to detention because of that, but it never fazed her.
He raised his eyebrows at her. Haemin was sure acting strange. He brushed it off. Maybe he was just imagining things... "Hey, Haemin!" Sunwoo waved at her. Haemin turned to face him, a soft, harmonious smile playing on her lips. He scrunched up his nose. "What's with the weird look? You're even uglier when you smile like that," He said. She blinked rapidly- You could tell she was trying to contain her temper. "Pig. Sit down, right now and don't talk to me," She hissed to him through gritted teeth and still maintaining her feminine composure.
"Why are you acting so girly today? Did you take drugs or something?" Sunwoo whispered to her, ignoring her commands. He wasn't scared of her, even if she was annoying and incredibly obnoxious. Why? Wasn't it obvious? He liked her, but dared not tell anyone- not even his parents and close friends. They would think he was weird or crazy for liking such an insane, hyper-active girl like Haemin.
Haemin simply just glared at him, unmoving and unflinching. "You're starting to creep me out," Sunwoo mumbled before slowly taking a seat next to her. She turned away from him once he sat down. He followed her gaze, and rested on a boy who was excitedly chatting with his rambunctious friends. He felt a pang in his heart, but he chose to ignore it. He had doubts buzzing around in his head...
On the other hand, Haemin was dreamily staring at Hyunjoon, one of her classmates. She had just started developing feelings for him after spotting him working part time in a cafe. He had looked so kind-hearted and generous as he talked to the customers, his voice laced with politeness. She fell for him then. She subconsciously let out a sigh, her heart rate galloping and speeding up, and her cheeks warming up despite the cold temperatures in the room.
She earned an anxious and weird glance from Sunwoo, who was surveying her with his eyes. "Don't tell me you like Hyunjoon, Haemin," Sunwoo gulped. Haemin froze up and rigidly angled her head to his direction. She smiled awkwardly. "Maybe...?" She giggled like a psychopath, batting her eyelashes. He cringed at her behavior, but part of him felt like he was being shot in the heart. He knew the answer, even if Haemin didn't directly tell him. It was quite obvious from her strange attitude.
"I'll just leave you alone," Sunwoo slumped down, hanging his head back against the back of the chair. He exhaled heavily, closing his eyes. He lost his chance, didn't he? The bell rang, and everyone shuffled to their seats. Haemin snapped out of her trance and leaned back against her chair. "Piggy. Did you do the homework?" Haemin nudged him. "Hm? What homework?" He lifted his head back up. "Such an irresponsible pig," She snorted. "Oh sorry, what? I'm busy right now. Can I ignore you some other time?" Sunwoo innocently asked before looking back to the teacher, who was just now coming inside.
Haemin touched her heart and winced, "Ouch." And pretended to be hurt. Her eyes soon fixated on Hyunjoon, who was sitting in front of her. She squealed internally, fidgeting in her seat. She tucked her hair behind her ear as she sat there, cross-legged, paying attention to Hyunjoon and not the teacher. "Haemin!" The teacher barked. She perked up. "Are you paying attention?" The teacher questioned with a dark glower. Haemin smiled goofily, the way she always did whenever the teachers called on her. "Yep!" She chirped in a sing-song voice.
"Then what did I say?" The adult crossed her arms, tapping her foot impatiently. All her classmates twisted in their seats to see her. Even Hyunjoon. Haemin noticed him watching her, and grew with nervous excitement. She couldn't give a snarky reply now, could she..? Would he think she was weird? Haemin fretted over the possibilities, staying silent as the teacher waited for her answer, expecting an insulting one. But after not receiving one, the teacher grew a bit confused. The classmates groaned in disappointment, wanting a dorky answer.
Sunwoo peered at Haemin, also puzzled by her silence. "Haemin," He grunted. Haemin blinked at the ground once, twice, then sighed. Whatever... She thought as she stood up abruptly, plastering a big smile on her face. Sunwoo brightened at the return of her quirky personality. "Teacher! You were talking about how your parents used to want you to run away from home because you broke all of their mirrors with your horrendous ugliness," She bowed and everyone burst out into laughter. Even the teacher seemed relieved, though she gave her a detention note.
The bell rang once again. "Oop. Time for first period. Bye!" The teacher waved to the students, who waved back before hurrying over to their friends' seats. "Oi, Haemin. You're acting as if your face is stuck in your ass. Actually... On second thought, you're always like that. But seriously, you're like some monkey today," Sunwoo scooted his chair over to talk to her. Haemin shrugged nonchalantly. "People change," She flicked her finger against his forehead, getting a yelp of pain from him. "Ow, that was totally unnecessary!" Sunwoo complained.
"Shut up, before I flick you again," She narrowed her eyes at him. "By the way, the teacher's gonna come anytime now, so you should go back to your desk," Haemin kicked him, causing him to tumble out of his chair. "Hey!" He whined, rubbing his sore back. "That was uncalled for," He pouted. "You know, your birth was uncalled for," Haemin shot back. "You're so rude," Sunwoo retorted. "Right back at ya," She rolled her eyes.
The next teacher strutted in, sashaying to her desk. She started lessons almost immediately after role call. Haemin continuously gazed at Hyunjoon's back the entire class period, and repeated the pattern for the next class. Soon, it was time for lunch.
"Ah, finally," Sunwoo stretched. "I hate sitting for so long," Haemin ran a hand through her disheveled hair. She stood up, bending down and stretching her limbs. "Come on. Let's go to the cafeteria!" She grasped his wrist after pulling out a pink, nicely ornamented envelope that she hid behind her back. Upon passing Hyunjoon's vacant desk, she quickly slid it in. She acted as if nothing happened, enthusiastically conversing with Sunwoo on the way to lunch.
