Episode 2- 'I just want my old friend back'

Since you guys liked the start so much I thought I'd start posting this story as well as 'The man under the hood' :) Today will be this story but tomorrow will be The Man Under The Hood and it will work like that until either of the books is finished :)

Demi was deep in thought after reading about what her new client went through. It was only a miscarriage that she had gone through, she had dealt with them before but not on a serious level. She can understand why someone will be upset over the whole situation but not enough to try and kill themselves. Then again Demi had never even been pregnant before so she has no idea how it feels like to one time have a healthy baby growing inside her, the next minute their suddenly gone. She's been struggling for the last couple of years to convince a baby with Zac, they don't know who has the problem or whether it's both of them. Demi's thoughts were interrupted by the buzzer going signalling her that Wendy had booked in her first appointment of the day and she can go get them when she is ready. Demi climbs up off her chair wondering out into reception just standing in the doorway seeing various people already here to be seen, some early for her but some for her fellow workers. Demi's eyes wonder to a unfamiliar face.

"Selena?" Demi questions making the girl look up at her. "You want to come through?" She questions making Selena nod her head gently grabbing her bag before making her way into Demi's office. Demi walks in too closing the door behind her taking a seat at her desk Selena still stood up near the door not knowing what to do. "You can take a seat anywhere."

"Thank you." She murmurs before deciding to take a seat on the couch in the corner of the room. Demi notes down any unusual behaviour she had seen already like how nervous she seems and how she isn't controlling. She'll do as she's told to get over the situation quicker. Selena doesn't look at Demi, just stares at the floor planning to answer any questions asked.

"So Selena, how old are you?"Demi questions.

"21." She says simply Demi knowing she is the same age as her, Demi has had Rosabella since she was seventeen .

"And your here because you had a miscarriage, care to tell me what happened?" Demi questions Selena nodding her head gently.

"It was at the beginning of the year, me and my partner had decided we think we're ready to start trying for a family. We are due to get married next summer so we thought we'd get a head start, the baby would have been a couple of months old by the wedding." Selena explains.

"How long have you been with your partner?" Demi questions.

"His name is Nick, we got together during our senior in high school," Selena explains Demi nodding starting to jot that down. "We found out we were going to have a baby a couple of weeks later after I took a test. I was nine weeks in my pregnancy when I started to get stabbing pains in my stomach, we got to the hospital too late for them to save them." She announced. 

"And how is Nick taking the whole situation?" Demi questions curiously.

"Pretty good which is making me more worried, he does more hours at work if anything." Selena stresses letting her arms drop down by her side.

"Sometimes people just pour themselves into work rather then sat at home doing nothing, your sat at home having your mind completely on what you had experience while he's at work getting his mind of the whole situation." Demi explains Selena nodding her head it suddenly making more sense to her then it did before. She has a question to ask though, she isn't completely sat at home doing nothing, she has her own chores to do.

"I don't do nothing though." She explains.

"What do you like doing at home then, crafting, knitting?" Demi questions Selena shaking her head wishing she had some time for that.

 

"M-my friend, he's been my friend for years and he's Nick brother." Selena explains Demi's eyebrow rising at how nervous she is talking about this guy, her best friend and partner's brother. Selena brings her hands up to her face not wanting to carry on, that is a subject that just gets to her too much. She hates seeing him like he is. She just wants her old friend back.
