Episode 30- Meet Carter James Jonas

Selena takes in a deep breath of relief when she feels the pressure realise from her legs as a loud cry fills the room. Nick cuts the cord of his son or daughter before the nurse checks between their legs to see what they are having. Both Sel and Nick let a tear roll down their cheeks once they get told they have a son. The nurse wraps the baby boy up in a cream coloured blanket before laying him on his mother's chest her arms under his body to support him. The baby boy stops screaming knowing he is now with his mother.

"You can have a couple of minutes with him before I weigh and measure him." The nurse explains taking of her gloves placing them in the bin. Selena smiles down at her son as she slowly begins stroking his small cheek. The little boy clenches his fists into a ball letting his grasp go soon after blinking a couple of times as his eyes start to clear up.

"He's beautiful." Selena admits looking up at the guy she loves so much the smile only leaving her face when Nick pecks her lips. They both look down at their son not believing that he is here, this morning they woke up thinking that they would be getting Joe back, the Joe they knew and loved but they did not expect to have their family expand because of them. They kind of love the fact that he came as a surprise, it not only made their day, it will make their year.

"Carter." Nick whispers in Selena's ear.

"I love it.," Selena mumbles looking back down at her son. "Hi Carter James Jonas, what a nice surprise you were."

 

Nick stands outside the room shutting the door carefully behind him knowing his little boy is fast asleep in his mother's arms after having himself weighed and measured. He was the correct length and Weight for a normal baby relief flooding his parents, he also has nothing wrong with him visibly or inside despite antenatal care. Joe and Demi look up at him hopeful that everything went okay and to plan, that the new member of the Jonas and Gomez family is fit and healthy ready for a lifetime full of love and care.

"I have a son!" Nick exclaims a wide smile covering both their faces. "He's perfect and healthy, we decided on the name Carter James and he will be a Jonas as Sel and I will be getting married soon as possible." Nick explains a proud smile plastered on his face.

"Aw congratulations." Demi says giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Just don't let me hand him to a stranger." Joe jokes making them laugh. They all smile as Rosie begins waking up from her nap, she lets out a smile when she sees her dad, she leans up giving him a kiss making her parents smile.

"You want to meet your cousin?" Joe questions her eyes filling up with happiness nodding her head. "Come on then." He says standing up setting her on the ground her hands having a tight clasp around the rabbit her dad had given her when she was born. She holds onto Joe's hand with her left one her right keeping hold of her mothers. They all make their way into the hospital room smiling when they see Selena holding securely onto a bundle of blankets.

"Hey Sel, how you feeling?" Demi questions.

"Good, come meet him." She says as they make their way over Joe picking Rosie up so she could actually see. They peer down in the bundle of blankets seeing a sleeping baby boy seeing features of both Nick and Selena. He has Selena's button nose but has the outline shape of Nick's mouth. They can't help but smile when they see how perfect he is.

"He's defiantly a Jonas." Joe says making them laugh.

"What his name?" Rosie questions staring at him as if she's trying to decide whether she likes him or not. He will be taking so much attention away from her.

 

"Carter." Nick says simply as they all continue to watch the little baby boy sleeping peacefully in his mother's arms. Rosie decides she'll put up with him.
