Episode 55- It's him

Sorry! I had work to do but I finish college on Tuesday so just bare with me :)

Couple of weeks later and the whole family are settled in. Demi is heavily pregnant by now and is struggling to do the simple everyday tasks like making breakfast. But she knew that in the end it would all be worth it as in about a month she would be holding her gorgeous little girl with Joe crying at her side.

"Demi, Bob's dismissed the prison case, he's really struggling," Sel explained, her eyes not moving from the computer screen.

"Erm I'll take his session for today and just gather some notes to see what he needs," Demi replied back, caressing her swollen belly before standing up.

"Where you going?" Joe questioned, coming in the room.

"To the toilet, your daughter thinks my bladder is a squeeze toy," Demi told him, waddling towards the door.

"She's our daughter," he corrected her but Demi shook her head, about to argue against Joe's point and when Demi was pregnant, she was always right and Joe probably should have learnt this about his girlfriend by now.  

"Not when she's squeezing my bladder she isn't," she expressed her hatred for going to the bathroom eight times through those simple words.

Joe couldn't help but suppress a chuckle and Demi left the room, coming back five minutes later to find Sel talking to Joe.

"You're not going," Joe demanded.

"Err, yeah I am," Demi debated back but Joe shook his head.

"No you're not."

"Yes I am."

"We're going to be here a while," Sel muttered resting her head on her hand, "Should have just stayed home today."

"Right Demi, I will meet you here in about an hour, I have to go through this very long process of signing papers to say the police have passed on a criminal, why I..."

Demi cut him off, "Joseph, you're ranting."

Joe gave a sheepish smile and pecked her lips before stating, "I love you."

"Love you too," Demi replied without hesitation before moving towards the sensors with a prison guard,

Joe watched as his girlfriend went through security procedures and Joe couldn't help but worry for the health of his girlfriend. Would she be alright, they were in a prison after all? Demi turned around her shoulder and gave her boyfriend a smile before leaving his sight. She followed the prison guard down the corridor until they stopped in front of the room. The door looked as if it was made from pure steel and Demi suddenly became unnerved about who was behind the door or should she say what? The prison guard pushed open the door and Demi took one step in before removing herself from the room immediately. She rushed back out of the building, catching Joe's eye but she wouldn't meet his curious gaze.

"Hey Demi, that's mine thing!" he called after her.

But when she didn't turn around Joe knew that it was serious and went after her. He found her sitting on a small bench just outside of the prison, staring at the passing traffic and Joe took the seat next to her.

"What's wrong?" Joe inquired.

"It was him," Demi stated vaguely, not giving much away.

"Him who?" Joe asked yet another question and Demi sighed.

"My dad."
