Episode 59- Tiredness

Demi makes her way out the room instantly attacking Joe with a hug who was waiting outside. Joe hugs back kissing the top of her head giving John a small smile as he is led out of the room, John gives him a small smile back as if he was telling him to look after his daughter. He won't need to worry about that. When John was out of Joe's eyesight he pulls away pecking her lips gently as he wipes away her tears.

"You should go home and lay down, I'll call Sel and tell her to cancel all your appointments for the afternoon okay?" Joe suggests Demi nodding her head knowing it's the best thing for her daughter. She allows Joe to lead her back through the snake like corridors before they collect the items she had placed in the blue tray before she entered. Her hand doesn't leave his until they are in the car driving back home.

Joe picks a sleeping Demi up from the car seat surprised how light she is with his daughter growing inside of her too. He kicks the door closed doing the hard task of having to open the front door, he kicks that door closed as well making his way up the stairs finally laying her down on their bed once he gets in their room.

"Stay with me." Demi mumbles Joe groaning.

"You were awake the whole time?" He questions standing up straight so his spine isn't bent then slouching again. Demi lets out a couple of tired giggles.

"Just stay!" She demands Joe smiling slightly. He kicks his shoes off taking off his jeans not wanting to wear denim in bed. He lays down bringing Demi up in his arms so her back is pressing up against his front. He kisses the top of her head laying her hands on her swollen stomach , she smiles when she feels her daughter kick inside of her as if she wanted her father to stay close by. There was no way she was going to let this little girl live any of her life without her father, she's fallen so much in love with Joe, she can't see herself being with anyone else and if he leaves she doesn't know what she would do. They had discussed names by now but haven't confirmed names yet, they want to see and meet her before they do that.

"H-He's like you." Demi stammers drawing circles on the top of Joe's hand. Joe's expression then turns into confusion. What does she mean by that?

"What do you mean?" Joe questions watching her stubby fingers trace the top of his large hands in a circular motion. She can't sit still when she's in this mood, she has to have something to fiddle with or something to amuse her mind otherwise she would just fall to sleep.

"He is like you, insane because his daughter weren't around." Demi acknowledged Joe realising it's true and another aspect they both have in common is the fact that Demi is the one helping them become the person their family know and love.

"He has his daughter now just like I have mine." Joe mutters in her ear making Demi smile, she likes the idea of being in her father's life, getting to know him better even if it is through how they are doing it now. She wishes it didn't have to be that way but she'll just have to make do with it if that's what she has to do. Joe let's a yawn escape his lips having not slept much that night, he was worried about the welfare of  his girlfriend and daughter but now knows that John will cause no harm towards them. Demi smiles carefully turning over so she is on her other side facing Joe.

"Never mind me going to sleep, you should to big boy." Demi says the tiredness clear in her tone. Joe suppresses a small smile pecking her lips.

"I'll go to sleep when your asleep." Joe states.

"That won't be long then." Demi responds her eyelids battling to stay open. Joe watches Demi as her eyes slowly droop close a smile on his lips the whole time. He then knows she is safe away from any harm as his daughter is meaning he can fall asleep too. They slept together for hours not a care in the world. Everything was going just fine in their lives.
