Shift in Sound || A Jemi Love Story

Episode 20- Angry and frustrated.

Nick puts his tank top over his torso grabbing his bag before heading out into Joe's room where Sel is attempting to get Joe into his shirt. Joe isn't having none of it though. He doesn't want to go to the gym, he wants to stay home and relax so is refusing cocooned in his  duvet on the bed while Selena is stood at the end of his bed a shirt in her hand clearly stressed that he won't do what she wants him to do.

"Come on Joe please." Sel says trying not to laugh when he sees him cocooned on his bed. She just wants him to get to this gym so he can let out all the anger he has tried to keep in all this time which is probably the reason for acting like this. Joe just shakes his head.

"If you come now, we'll go for dinner out afterwards." Nick bribes not believing he has to do it this way to his twenty four year old brother.  They eventually coax Joe out of the duvet Selena leaning up pulling his shirt out his head Joe doing the rest himself.

 

They wonder into the gym Joe trailing slowly behind. They get booked in and everything making their way to the boxing section. Nick helps him to put the gloves on walking to the punching bag holding it securely so Joe could hit it and it not fly off coming back to hit him in the face. Joe sighs walking over hitting the punching back gently. He's never been a violent person and he doesn't want to start here, Sel walks over keeping a bit of distance in case she gets hit.

"You can do it harder than that." Sel accuses Joe taking a deep breath again before hitting it a little bit harder but not hard enough for Nick to even stumble of his feet.

"And harder than that!" Nick repeats. Joe grits his teeth together before hitting it as hard as he can making Nick stumble back Sel rushing there to stop him falling backwards. They look straight ahead seeing Joe leaving the building looking angry and frustrated.

 

Demi was woken by crying, something she hasn't heard in a long while. Rosabella is four now so doesn't often wake them up, only on the off occasion that she has a bad dream. She looks to the side seeing Zac fast asleep warning of the alcohol that will still be in his system. She kisses his head before climbing out of the bed rushing into the room as she ties her dressing gown up.

"Baby what's wrong?" She questions stroking her hair.

"Me not big girl." She complains Demi looking down at the sheets awing. Demi  helps her stand off the bed making her way into the bathroom beginning to run a shallow bath so she won't be sore. She helps her take off her pyjamas putting them into the wash.

"I'm sorry mommy." Rosie says as Demi begins helping her wash.

"It's fine baby girl, we all have mistakes." Demi reassures kissing the top of her head.

"But me thought I was big girl like you." She says.

"Mommy sometimes has accidents too, just not the same ones," Demi says helping her out the bath and drying her. She wraps the towel around her picking her up wondering back into her room setting her securely on the floor. She helps her change into pyjamas. "Now do you want to sleep with me and daddy?" Demi questions making her eyes light up.

"Daddy is home?" She questions and Demi nods smiling.

"He came home asking where you are." Demi lies just to make her feel better.

"I want to sleep with you guys." She says wrapping her arms around her neck allowing Demi to pull her up and wonder into the bedroom. Demi lays her down on the bed making the little girl head towards Zac getting into his arms which makes him smile in his sleep. Demi smiles to laying down switching the light off starting to stroke Rosie's hair making sure that the dirty sheets are in the washing machine ready in the morning to be washed and put on her bed. Demi begins humming making the little girl fall asleep instantly.

 

"I love you so much." Demi mumbles kissing her head before falling asleep.
