Shift in Sound || A Jemi Love Story

Episode 29- It's today, not any other time

The doctor can't help but smile as well as the two people who will be becoming parents soon seeing the pure happiness and love for this baby that they didn't even know existed. She can tell that they will be wonderful parents when the time comes but she can't help but have a growing worry for what health the baby will be in.  If they hadn't had known the baby was there Selena could have done all sorts of crazy things that could harm the baby. Smoke, drink, not have a correct diet for what their son or daughter will need.

"Right I will just check the health of your little one." She explains trying to sound professional and hide the fact that she is worried about their child. She looks at the screen checking all different aspects that could be wrong. She checks whether he or she has five toes and five fingers on both of their hands and feet which they do.

"I-is everything okay?" Selena asks concerned.

"Everything seems to be okay, you want to know the gender now or wait cause it seems like you're in labour right now." She states making Selena cry out in fear, Nick holds her hand shushing her gently as they decide to keep the gender a surprise. Selena ends up getting moved to the maternity area where she will deliver her baby.

 

Nick rushes around the corner of the hospital ready to tell his brother and friend that he will be becoming a dad very soon. He can't believe that Selena never had the miscarriage and that she didn't even show any signs of being pregnant for the further time. He expected her to at least show but the doctor said sometimes their stomach just doesn't grow which means that his son or daughter will be small when they arrive. When Joe spots his younger brother he stands up holding a sleeping Rosie against his side careful not to wake her with the movement. Joe and Demi meet Joe standing right in front of  him concerned when they see his expression.

"Will she be okay?" Joe questions Nick having to get used to the fact Joe is actually talking in full sentences again but he pushes that away.

"S-she's having our baby." Nick explains still in a bit of shock himself as both of them turn into shock trying to stay quietly because of the little girl sleeping on her dad's shoulder.

"She was pregnant?" Demi questions Nick nodding his head.

"Apparently she never had the miscarriage, he or she seems perfectly fine though and she could give birth to them at any moment, she is quite far dilated already." Nick indicated.

"Well go be with her then and witness the birth!" Joe exclaims quietly making him chuckle. They begin walking over to the maternity unit where Selena will already be ready to give birth to her first child as Nick fills Joe and Demi in with everything that had happened. Joe and Demi take seat in the chairs once again as Nick makes his way into the hospital room where his fiancé lays looking exhausted already and she hadn't even pushed yet.

"I can't believe their having a baby." Demi states watching the little girl she thinks as her own daughter sleep on Joe's shoulder.

"I know, I'm happy for them though," Joe admits making her smile.

"How long after the supposedly miscarriage did Sel come and see me?" Demi questions not know whether he will know the answer. He wasn't in the right state of mind at that time but Joe would remember it if anything happened. He was really looking forward to becoming a Uncle again, he thinks that was another reason it gave him to continue acting like he did. Everything just seems to be coming together." It was a good couple of months. I have a Nice already, her name is Alena." Joe says proudly, Joe was the first to have a child but he feels more grown up now knowing his younger brother is having one as well. He just hopes Frankie won't have one so soon.

"Cute." Demi admits smiling.

 

"I know my mom will want a boy this time." He says chuckling as Demi lets out a giggle.
