Shift in Sound || A Jemi Love Story

Episode 40- Clingy.

Everyone had enjoyed that meal they had out, it's no often they all come together as a family and enjoy something like that together but today was a special day, it was Rosie's fifth birthday and the first birthday Joe got to spend with here. For that reason he wanted it to be the best birthday she's ever had and he thinks he may have won her over with all the presents he had got her. Joe, Demi, Rosie, Nick and Selena all wonder into the house Nick having hold of Carter's car seat as they wonder upstairs to lay him down. 

"Come on then Rosie, daddy needs to pee." Joe says trying to put her down on the floor, she just clings tighter onto his shirt in protest.

"No!" She screams.

"What's wrong princess?" Demi questions stroking her hair gently.

"Me want to stay with daddy." She demands burying her head into her father's neck. Joe lets out a sigh when he feels his bladder demanding he goes even more. Nothing worse than going out in a cold summer's night to make you wanna go to the toilet.

"Are you tired?" Joe questions kissing the top of her head after he feels a nod against him. "You had a nap before though."

"Come to mommy and we'll get you to bed, daddy will come read you a story after he's gone to the toilet." Demi explains Rosie giving up allowing her mom to take her. Joe rushes off to the bathroom making Demi laugh slightly. She makes her way up the stairs greeting Nick and Sel as they make their way down the stairs. She unclamps Rosie's hand from her shirt before setting her on the ground grabbing a pair of pyjamas before helping her change into them. She'd usually have a bath around this time but she seems so tired and clingy, she's like a different girl at the moment and Demi has no idea what's happening. Rosie lays down on her bed holding her mother's hand for comfort just in time for Joe to wonder through the door with one of Rosie's new books in his hands. Demi smiles when she hears her a story but the story hadn't ended in time for Rosie to fall asleep which just makes her cling more onto her father. Joe lays down on the bed next to her taking her up into his arms gently stroking the top of her head which helps her that little bit more to drift off into a deep sleep.

Joe and Demi were laid in bed a couple of hours later after having some time with Nick and Sel in the back yard. Demi is beginning to become a little worried with how Rosie is acting but can't put a finger on what is wrong with her, she'll just be watching her every move until she knows how to control whatever is wrong with her.

"I should really go home soon." Demi says laying her head on his chest, she had spent the last couple of weeks here with Joe so Rosie could get to know her father a little better, now she has become a daddy's girl which Demi finds adorable.

"No don't." Joe demands burying his head in the nape of her neck taking in her scent, she just smiles wider seeing how tired he is just like her daughter was.

"I'm sure Sel and Nick would like I little bit more room Joseph." Demi says holding onto him tighter making him relax a bit.

"I wouldn't." Joe mumbles but she could still understand what he was saying.

"Go to sleep." Demi whispers in his ear, it didn't take long for her to hear soft snores coming from her boyfriend. She smiles closing her eyes in attempt to fall asleep but she couldn't, she just has so much on her mind at the moment, mainly about Rosie. She hopes nothing is seriously wrong with her but it's not her only problem at the moment. Rosie is starting Kindergarten very soon which she is excited about but Demi isn't, she just doesn't want her to leave her side. It's always been her and Rosie, she doesn't want that to change unless Joe comes into the picture. She's her baby girl even if she's not biologically hers. All these thoughts running through Demi's mind soon tires her out enough for her to go into a light sleep.
