Shift in Sound || A Jemi Love Story

Episode 34- Confused on the whole situation

Morning :)

Demi pulls away slapping him making him groan out loud his right hand coming up placing it on his right cheek where she had slapped him. Demi's eye widen not meaning to have slapped him, it was just a reaction, she looks up at him not quite knowing what to say to him. She would never have thought he'd ever have feelings for her but she guesses she was wrong. Moments pass of silence before Demi pucks up the courage to say something.

"I'm so sorry!" She exclaims Joe's left hand coming up motioning her not to say anything so he could speak rather than her babbling on about how sorry she is.

"It's fine honestly." Joe says beginning to swim back to shore deep in thought leaving Demi out there confused on what had just happened.

Joe takes a seat on the sand bringing Rosie on his lap handing her a ice cream he had just gone to collect when he went for a walk to clear his mind. He had no idea what happened with Demi in the sea, it just seemed like kissing her was something he needed to do but it's clear she doesn't think of him like that, probably because he's being a jerk over the whole Rosie situation.

"What's that on your cheek?" Selena questions rubbing on his cheek to try and get off whatever was there but couldn't.

"Looks like a mark from a ring, who slapped you?" Nick states watching, Joe shrugs not really wanting to talk about it.

"Carter want some." Rosie states sticking her ice cream in the car seat making everyone laugh Joe pulling her arm back.

" Looks like he doesn't, daddy does," He says Rosie turning around allowing him to take a lick out of her ice cream that had starting melting in the June sun. Everyone laughs as Rosie keeps the ice cream near his face thinking it's funny. "You eat it." Joe says making her turn around again starting to lick on it as she watches her mom swim in the sea. Joe wakes up a couple of hours later feeling his limps being restricted underneath something, he opens his eyes revealing that everyone had dug him under the sand. He begins laughing with everyone else using all his strength to push his leg up, luckily they hadn't done it very deep. He releases all his limps before standing up brushing himself down.

"Now I'm gonna have to go swimming." He states the sand stuck to him because of  moisture on his body. He picks up Rosie flinging her over his shoulder making her squeal as he runs towards the sea.

Joe and Rosie find their feet back with the others after Joe had washed all the sand of his body, that's the only problem with going to the beach, you find sand in places you couldn't imagine they would reach. Like in socks you hadn't even worn to the beach that day. They slip on any clothes they had left and gather everything together Selena having hold of Carter's car seat which had the visor down so he wouldn't burn. Demi walks up next to Joe taking hold of Rosie's other hand Joe having hold of the other one.

"How about you both sleep over?" Joe questions looking at Demi.

"Sounds alright to me." Demi states helping Joe as they lift Rosie of her feet, she squeals kicking her legs backwards and forwards until they put her back on the ground ready to bring her up again. They smile at the little girls laughter.

"That mean I'm staying with daddy?" Rosie questions.

"Yeah it does," Joe says. "We should probably talk about earlier together alone later." Demi nods in agreement starting to wonder what he will say. Will he confess that he does have feelings for her or will he just to the opposite saying that he doesn't know why he did it because he doesn't see her in that way.  Demi doesn't know which one she wants, she doesn't know if he did but she felt something in that kiss, that must mean something yet she still feels as if she doesn't have any feelings for him. She's just confused on the whole situation.
