Chapter 6

Pan disappeared later that evening, to try to make a deal with the pirate that Ever quite liked when she was kidnapped so that lead the young blonde to wander into a young boy's tent that Emma loved with all her heart.

She placed a hand over his mouth so he couldn't scream and placed a finger upon her lips to hush him. When he nodded, she removed her hand and took off her hood so that she could see the young boy properly. He had green eyes that held specks of brown and a mop of brown hair covered most of his forehead.

Ever took the mirror from her pocket and gave it to Henry, "I am your friend, not your enemy." She whispered and disappeared into the night leaving a confused Henry to analyze the magical mirror.

Ever walked away from camp and into the dark forest where it was, ironically, her favourite place on the whole island. She walked deeper and deeper till the shadows started dancing in the trees, taunting her playfully as she giggled like a maniac. Suddenly everything stopped and Ever picked up the hem of her dress and started running. She ran like the winter breeze colliding into rocks and stones alike. The shadows soared across indigo skies like a herd of cheetahs racing through verdant meadows. Her long, platinum blonde coloured locks whipped back and forth behind her as she flung herself over sharp rocks and heavy tree trunks. She didn't know where she was nor did she know where he was heading. She had no idea what time it was and she had no clue what day. All she knew was she had to keep running forward. Not stopping for anything. Her giggles echoed throughout the dense forest as a shadow tripped her up and she fell face first on the mossy ground.

"Okay, Okay you guys win."She gasped, her giggles still echoed around. "I surrender."She continued putting her hands above her head.

After a while, she stood up and walked back to the camp, shadows of arrows leading her way like breadcrumbs. As she walked into camp, she went straight to Pan's treehouse for she was exhausted and in need of good nights rest. She stumbled inside and flopped onto the bed falling asleep almost immediately as she placed her head on the pillow.

 "Rebekah, let me have at it!" Niklaus said impatiently as Rebekah carved her name into the wall.

"Quiet, Niklaus! I am to have more concentration if I am not to slice off a finger. " She said shushing Niklaus as the twins and Kol chuckled discreetly but not discrete enough. "There I am done, didn't take too long did it?"Rebekah retorted to the chuckles that came from the youngest

Kol smirked, crossing his arms "Don't worry it only took a few years." He said and Rebekah slapped him on the back of his head. "Ouch."

"Oh, Kol."Rebekah smirked"It's just a little slap. Be a man about it."  She said and gave the knife to Pan.

Pan turned to his sister holding out the knife."Want to have a go sister?" He questioned with a smile.

Ever took the blade in hand with a smile full of glee, "Thank you, Piper." She said and walked over to the wall and started carving her name.

"Father will not like you handling a blade," Niklaus commented making Pan turn to him.

"If she wants to wield a blade, she shall wield a blade! Father need not know." He snapped, protecting his sister who briefly turned around to listen to the conversation.

Niklaus leaned against the wall of the dark cave, " He will find out. He always does."

"That is because you always tell him," Kol quipped smirking

"I cannot help it...he frightens me."

Finn emerged from the shadows, "He frightens us all."

"That is why we stick together as one, always and forever. Right, traitor? " Pan said lightly and playfully shoving Niklaus's shoulder

"Right," Nik said smiling

"Here Piper. You finish it. I am to help mother with the meal." Ever said giving the blade to Pan and taking Rebekah's hand who followed her out of the cave.
