There are things in life that are extremely annoying but compulsory in school...sport for example, if you wanted to sign up for different sports, you would go to a club...so why do I have to do sport when I could be passionate in something else and want to do that instead.
Well...that's at lease what Ever thought as she made her way onto the pitch. Since there were no more places in cooking class, she had to do cross country...even the mere thought of it made her shiver. Pan skipped past her, a content smile on his face. He figured if he ran ahead and got out of sight, he could teleport to the end...which indeed isn't stupid.
"Twin Parkers we don't have all day." Coach Finstock bellowed as the two twins approached quickly.
Coach Finstock looked around the lacrosse pitch before looking at the cross country trail. "Okay, 4 warm-up laps around the lacrosse pitch before we start. If I see anyone, and I mean anyone slacking...you'll be doing suicide runs by the time you're 30." He shouted. "Yeah, I'm looking at you, Greenberg."
Everyone started to make their way to the pitch, Ever pouting as she dragged her legs to be as slow as possible. Coach blew his whistle and everyone was off...well except Ever who didn't want to run and Pan who was trying to convince her to run.
"Ever come on," Pan said trig to pull Ever by the arm who was standing still.
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!"Coach screamed as he marched towards the two teens. He looked at the girl and the boy who was trying to push her.
"I don't want to." Ever whimpered as she sat down on the ground.
Coach opened his mouth to say something but Pan beat him to it. "Ever look! A butterfly!" Almost immediately Ever was up and looking around.
"Where!" She exclaimed while turning around on the spot.
Pan pointed ahead of them. "There." And Ever took off, running very fast.
"Wow." Coach Finstock said with raised eyebrows.
"You'll regret it later," Pan said as he took off running after Ever. Each time they turned a corner Pan would change the direction of the butterfly. Hell, they even overtook the lacrosse team without a pant. Scott looked at them with stunned eyes when the My overtook the other twins.
When everyone approached Coach, he looked at the girl who was sad from the disappearing butterfly she was promised. "Wow...um okay." He started, looking at the blonde girl who overtook all his star players without even being tired. "Right everyone, places." He said turning to Pan who was convincing Ever to run.
"Ready. GO!" He shouted at that moment everyone (surprisingly including Ever) started running incredibly fast. Pan and Ever taking lead with the other twins closely behind.
Suddenly one of the twins jumped behind the unknowing boy, pushing him down a small yet steep hill. Ever and Pan stopped running forward, curiosity getting the better of their judgement. They jogged down the hill to see the boy in an armlock.
"Ethan, I always forget, how many bones in the human body?" The twin said maliciously
"I don't know Aiden," Ethan responded with the same exact amount of malice. "Let's count."He continued as they began to twist his arm.
"There's 206, I've already counted multiple times." Pani said jogging down the slope"Now we've got that settled why don't we just calm down," Pan said as he approached the twins who looked up from their prey. "We're all friends here."
Just then Scott appeared out of nowhere, pushing off one of the two muscular twins and helping Isaac off the ground. "Go get someone," Scott shouted as they put themselves in an attack position.
"So noble Scott," One of the alpha's taunted, "Are you ready to put a human at risk," he continued as his twin took Ever and unleashed his claws into her neck, lightly scratching her jugular.
"Kalm niðr minn bróðir," Ever rasped as Pan started to shake with anger, an emotion that didn't go unnoticed by Scott and his companion. It even got captured the attention of the other twins who exchanged concerned glances. Pan glared at them darkly as an ear-splitting migraine overtook their mind. The twins cried in agony, but another scream took over Pan's attention span as he glanced in the distance and took his attention off. The group ran off towards the scream, all of them not able to process what was going on as the amount of adrenaline that was pumping through their veins was abnormally high.
The Mikaelson twins ran down the path to see a fellow student hanged to a tree, blood dripping from his neck as he hung lifeless. A girl ran up to the tree, tears streaming down her distraught face as she whimpered under the limp glance of the former senior. "Aaaaahh Kyle! Oh, God, Kyle! Oh, God!" She shouted as she collapsed on the floor, crying a bigger sea of tears than Alice. Ever covered her mouth as tears pooled in her eyes at the familiar dark magic she'd taught once upon a time in New Orleans.
"Sister," Pan whispered in her ear as he led his slightly numb sister away from the scene. " We should go." And Ever followed her brother as she huddled closer to the person that was always there for her...apart from that one time.
"Go on. Go. Go." Sheriff Stilinski ushered his son out of the way as Isaac turned to Scott pointedly.
"You see the way the twins looked at him? "Isaac said to Stiles as he made his way to the two. The trio sneaked a second glance at the Alphas as they looked at each other in a confused manner.
Stiles turned back "Yeah, you mean like they had no idea what happened? "He said as they began to walk.
"No, no, they knew," Isaac said with such surety, you wouldn't think twice that he too was slightly doubting due to the facts that were presented. "They didn't even flinch or react in disgust. No normal person just walks away."
"The kid was strangled with a garrote, all right?" He said, flailing his arms around like a flamingo on crack. " Am I the only one recognizing the lack of 'werewolfitude' in these murders? "
"Oh, you think it's a coincidence they turn up and then people start dying? "Isaac said pointing at the twins.
"Well, no, but I still don't think it's them," Stiles argued once more, making Isaac doubt himself a little more.
Isaac turned to Scott "Scott? Isaac: How 'bout you? " He asked
"I don't know yet. " Scott shrugged
Stiles raised his eyebrows mockingly, "You don't know...yet?"
Scott turned to his best friend furrowing his eyebrows, "Well, he's got a point. Seriously, dude, human sacrifices?"
"Scott, your eyes turn into yellow glow sticks, okay? Hair literally grows from your cheeks and then will immediately disappear, and if I were to stab you right now, it would just magically heal, but you're telling me that you're having trouble grasping human sacrifices? " He raved, accompanying his petite rant with different hand signs.
Scott sighed, patting his cropped hair on his head "That's a good point too...Wait what about the other kids...Isaac! What did that guy...Pan do to Ethan and Aiden." He said, becoming as spastic as Stiles. Isaac widened his eyes and let his mouth hang open.
"Wait wait wait...What did he do?" Stiles asked
Scott turned to Stiles, "I have no idea...He made them clutch their heads and scream." He said stopping mid-stride. "We have to confront them!" He continued as Isaac nodded his head as Stiles shook his.
"No no no no, BAD idea."Stiles said as he stood in front of Scott, "You always have really a ideas!"
