Chapter 5

The morning was quite eventful I must say...There I was waking up to the lovely sound of my siblings shouting at each other and throwing various glasses at the walls. I slowly got off my bed that was shorter than I thought and walk into the bathroom where I get a good look at my reflection. And I scream.

"EVER!"Niklaus shouted and spead into my bathroom as everyone followed. I grew a lot and my face has matured, not a lot but still. My pyjama bottoms that were too big for me was up to half of my calf and my oversized sweater fitted perfectly.

"What's happening to me?!"I exclaim taking a step back.

"You're growing..."Elijah muttered his eyes still wide.

"It's not supposed to be this fast!"I say, yesterday I looked like a 14-year-old. Now I look like a 16-year-old. I turned around as something entered my mind. "That means I can control everything!"I say a smile spreading on my face as my siblings grinned also.

"Yes! Yes Yes Yes!"I shout and start dancing around like a lunatic.

"Rebekah, tell me how handsome I am,"Kol says looking at himself in the mirror

Rebekah looks up from her nails, a smirk on her face "Oh, Kol! You know I can't be compelled."Rebekah grins back as I enter the room in some of Rebekah's clothes as mine don't fit me anymore.

"Ah! Ever, tell me how handsome I am,"He says turning to me, grinning.

"You look very handsome Kol,"I said my mind elsewhere. "Bekah don't you have any clothes that are less revealing?" I ask

"This century is filled with revealing clothes. "Rebekah says. "Those were the least revealing clothes I could find." Rebekah continues to flip through her magazine likes it's the most important thing in the world. "Did you find him yet?"

"No, I sent word out everywhere but it's as if he disappeared into thin air,"I say plopping down next to Rebekah who was working on my homecoming ball.

"Relax darling one, he'll turn up, "Kol says looking at himself in the mirror like he's the most handsome guy in the world."Pus Bekah already planned the whole ball, maybe he'll show up to that."

"You've already sent out the invites?"I ask astonished

"Well yeah, it's only 2 weeks away."She says in a duh tone.

Just then Klaus stormed through the double door in anger, "You went after Elena, what's wrong with you."

"Ah, here we go..."Rebekah said an innocent smile on her face.

"Do you want another dagger in your heart?"Klaus continued.

Ever looked up at her sister. " I remember Elena, the doppelganger, she winges a lot. Annoying I must say..."Ever started her thoughts carrying her away before, "Please tell me you at least ripped out her tongue?"

"Ever, your psychopathic tendencies are showing," Elijah stated not looking up from the book he was reading.

"Sorry, Jah. I'm going to find Finn." and with that Ever skipped out of the room

I find Finn in the library reading a boring book about world war 2.I climb onto Finn's lap who only smiles at me and I start reading Finn's book with him. A few minutes later I hear my siblings fight once more. Elijah stands up and exits the room as I turn to Finn.

"Finny?"I ask

"Yes, Beauty?"Finn says setting the book on the couch and looked at me while I was still perched on his lap.

"Do you still have the Little Matchgirl? I've never got to finish that one."I say as Finn lifts me off his lap and walks to the next room where the coffins lay. He returns with a brand new but old print of the book. "You kept it,"I say my smile so big I was beginning to look like the Cheshire Cat.

"I always kept it with me."He says handing me the book.

"Wait! Can you start reading it to me?"I ask and he smiles again.

"Of course."He says and he sits next to me, putting my legs over his lap. "It was so terribly cold. Snow was falling, and it was almost dark. Evening came on, the last evening of the year. In the cold and gloom a poor little girl, bareheaded and barefoot, was walking through the streets..."
