The bus ride was normal. Jasper and I sat there talking about things, life, ambitions and family. I finally got more information on him and him on me. I really got to know him and it was nice, he was nice. Like me he grew up with sadness and despair. It was nice talking with Jasper about life and the ups and downs we've had, in the end it was like a contest on who had the worst thing happen to them. In the end we agreed we were a tie! As we got off the bus laughing Jamal was waiting for me by the front gate. He had April by his side and they seemed to be in a deep discussion that they didn't realise we'd walked up until i cleared my throat. They both stopped and looked at us standing there staring at them "Jasper!" April says wrapping her arms around him and then linking her arm through his, taking him into school grounds.
Jamal lent down and kissed me firmly on the lips before wrapping his arm around my waist "You're waiting for me today after school okay. I'm going to take you and Em out!" my eyes lit up.
I loved it when he took us out and so did Emily. It let us escape the house and have fun "Where are you taking us?" i asked excitedly
"It's a surprise"
"ohhh" I said while grabbing hold of his hand in mine, we entwined our fingers and followed Jasper and April.
Lily, Max and Felix were at our usual table discussing some party that was happening this weekend "So are you going?" April asks us all as we sit
"Going where?" Jasper asks
"Toby's back to school party?" she says
"Who's Toby?" April looks like she's nearly going to have a heart attack
"Just one of the most important people in this school!"
"And April's hook up guy" Lily says proudly.
In a second Lily gets kicked form under the table "Ouch!" she screams out and we all look at her while she rubs her leg
"What was that for?" she whines at April who's giving her 'to die' looks.
Her eyes look at Jasper before moving her eyes back at April. She was still clueless but no one could be bothered to tell her.
Lily finally clicks on why she got kicked and looks at Jasper "Oh you know April and Toby are just friends but he knows the right people to hook us up to go to parties" man she sounds like a dumb ass.
I giggle slightly as Jasper looks at her "Cool" he answers not really caring about them and looking at me and Jamal "So i missed you yesterday after school Jamal. Where'd you go?" Jamal shifts slightly before gripping onto me
"I had things to do after school man but we can hang tomorrow if you like? I'm taking my girl and her sister out after school today" I watch Jasper think about it
"Yeah, let’s do something tomorrow?"
"Cool. We'll talk it over at lunch?" they nod at each other before April gets impatient
"Okay who's going to the PARTY guys? I need to know?"
"Count us in!" Max and Felix sa
y "Me too. I love parties" Lily says.
April looks at Jasper "Jasper, are you coming?" he looks around at us and smiles
"Sure, why not. Are you going Brook?" April and Lily burst out laughing and Jasper looks at them strangely
"What?" he asks.
Once they'd settled down Lily explain "You see, since Brooks mum died she doesn't go out or do anything which is why she's a vir..." she gets kicked again
"Ouch April! Stop kicking me!"
"Well stop saying stupid dumb shit!" Lily looks at me and I'm beyond angry right now.
How could she just blurt it out like that, like it means nothing? I go to move but Jamal holds onto me and whispers "Don't listen to her baby. I'm not going either" I look at him surprised
"Why?"
"I want to spend the night at your place. Do you think your dad wouldn't mind me coming over to watch movies or something?" i look at him and think, then shrug
"I don't know. It should be okay?"
"Cool" he kisses me softly as they continue to talk and I block it all out just for his kiss.
"Well it’s settled. Lily and I will pick you up. Just give me your address and we'll come around" Jasper moves uneasily at her request
"I'll meet you somewhere?"
"Sure, whatever you want" the bell rings and we all get up "We'll work it out at lunch"
"Sounds good to me" Jasper says as both Lily and April hook their arms through his and walk with him.
