Jamal is practically on his hands and knees in front of me begging for my forgiveness but I just smile at him and he looks at me confused "Don't do this babe. I love you!" I laugh - really loudly and he looks at me and I shake my head
"How many times should I forgive you Jamal and how long have you and April still been doing it?" he gets up and runs his hands through his hair
"I never stopped"
"WHAT?" i ask basically yelling at him
"So what was I? Some joke?" he shakes his head
"NO! No, it was a bet at first but then I fell for you. i really did but you couldn't give me what I needed and she could. We decided to keep it quiet and to throw everyone off she starting dating Toby. I guess it worked out until now" I wiped my tears and laughed again
"Get the fuck away from me you piece of shit!" i grit my teeth and he looks at me
"Brook please. We're still friends. I still love you like a sister"
"I hope ruining our friendship was worth her sorry piece of arse and I wish you both nothing but the best. now fuck off! Get out of my life and stay the hell away form me and my family!!" I was screaming and everyone came out of the house to see what was going on.
I started to push him to make him move faster and he looked at me hurt "I did love you Brook. I just couldn't stop loving her" I shove him hard one last time and turn around and walk off.
My dad comes up and asks if everything okay "Yep, it's fine Jamal here was just leaving to go see his whore girlfriend April!"
"I"m sorry Brook, really I am" he pleaded but my dad moved fast and was by his side, hands gripped hard on each arm
"You heard her Jamal. Don't bother our family again. Now fuck off!" I was shocked.
I'd never heard my dad curse like that but I was so proud of him. He walked back and Jamal had the nerve to throw some more words out the window as he got ready to drive off "All I wanted was your virginity anyway!"
"HA! I gave it up to Jasper last night you dog! Enjoy that one when you see April next!" I storm of and leave him sitting there trying to comprehend my words
"You bitch!" was all he said but Emily did the right thing and gave him the bird before he stormed off in his car.
I hugged my family and thanked them for sticking by me "So does that mean I can't have Jasper as my boyfriend?" Emily asks and I shake my head
"Sorry Em, he's all mine" she smiles
"That's okay. I still get to see him when he sees you so that's okay" she walks inside and Helen comes up
"Good for you Brooklyn"
"Brook! call me Brook" I say and she smiles
"Sure. Brook it is and by the way. Bravo! You gave it to him like he deserved" I hugged her tightly
"Thanks for the advise" she nods and kisses my head
"Anytime Brook" she walks inside leaving me with my dad who looks at me
"So your all grown up now? I thought something was up. You look - happy. Really happy" I smile
"I am dad and it took you giving Jasper my car keys for my birthday to realise that..." I give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek
"So thank you" he blushes
"Look after Jamal left and the way he said and did things, he didn't seem committed like you were but you were happy so I didn't want to say anything but when I saw how you and Jasper got along and the way you looked at each other. i saw a younger me and your mum. A couple in love but just hadn't realised it yet. So Helen and I discussed it and we thought we'd give you the chance to figure it out with a little nudge"
"Well it worked" he face turns into horror
"Did you use ..." his face red so I answer
"Yes, both times" i saying blushing as well and he chuckles
"Good girl. i hope it was everything you'd dreamed off"
"And more Dad. Way more!" he smiled and we hug.
"Thanks to you and Helen I have a car now and a great boyfriend and fun memories in my car already" dad sticks his fingers in his ears "LALALALALA" he goes so he doesn't hear me and I laugh.
As we finish talking and dad calms down, I see Jasper pull up in the car. My phone in his hand and a smile on his face. Dad looks at him than me "Go get him" I nod and run out to his car.
he'd only just shut the door when I ran into his arms and kissed him. he didn't mind and wrapped his arms around me and deepen the kiss and he goes with it. When we finally part he looks at me a little shocked and embarrassed that we just did that in front of my family but I didn't care "They know. It's okay" he looks up and dad waves
"Hey Jasper"
"Hi" he replies shyly.
i grip his hand in mine and drag him to the house but before we go in he pulls me back "We can't be together until you bre.." I place my finger on his lips
"I already did. he confessed to sleeping with April still and I got to tell him that we were over and that I no longer had my virginity for him to steal because I gave it to the guy I truly love" he blushes.
"I love you B" he gushes
"I love you too Jasp. Always and forever"
"Always and forever" he repeats, with our arms around each other there was no way I was letting this guy go.
I'd been through ups and down with Jamal like an emotional roll coaster and all along the guy who was always there to pick me up when I was down was here, right in front of me. i was blinded by lust not love. I'd wanted a boyfriend and affection so badly that I looked close by and thought I'd found it in Jamal but all he wanted was to use me like a piece of meat - or a trophy if you will and that's not what love is all about. So when you decide it's time to have sex and lose that one thing you'll never get back. Think long and hard about it because it should be with some special or dear to your heart as it's something you both should experience together so that you know you have your one true love. I was just lucky that Jasper never gave up on me and it never dawned on me that what we had was something more special than friendship and all it took was that one moment to realise and then BOOM! I hope that we last and even if we don't like I said with Jamal. I'd have no regrets at all, none what so ever because first we were friends and now lovers. What more could I have asked for? Jasper and i walk inside hand in hand and we helped pack up this old life of ours so we could start fresh and really I think that's what we all needed. Helen and Dad were getting married and having a baby, Emily was going to be a big sister and me I had Jasper and that's all I needed for now plus a fresh start!
