10 minutes later I walk down and see Jamal and Em talking. She so adore him, I hope I'm doing the right thing by dating him because I don't want to ruin our friendship? Jamal looks up and smiles at me "There she is" he gets up and glides over to me, wrapping me up in his arms before kissing me softly
"EWWWW don't tell me I have to watch that all afternoon?!" we pull away and smile
"No we won't. Now come on" I grab her hand and walk us all out of the house.
Locking it up behind us. We get in Jamal's car, put on our seat belts and he drives off. Jamal puts on Emily's favourite music before grabbing my hand in his and squeezing it. My mind is racing should I tell Jamal about the kiss? What if I do and he gets really angry with me? I look at Jamal who smiles at me then at Emily and she looks so happy so i decide to keep quiet for now. We arrive at the watering hole where most teenagers around here swim and we park then get out. Emily screams as she runs to the water making me smile at her "She loves the water Ja. That's for bringing us" I look over at him and he pulls me close.
I stare up into his eyes and they're dancing at me with so much happiness "I'm glad I can help and make someone a little happier. You've been down for a few days now. Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yeah I'm sure and I promise to try and be alot happier from today onwards" he nods his head
"That's what I’m talking about. I need to see my girl happy not miserable" I smile and he kisses me
"Eww you said no kissing!" Emily yells from the water.
I blush a little as we turn to look at her before walking over with our things.
I rang my dad and told him where we were. He seemed happy and said he had something important to discuss with me after Emily goes to bed tonight. I told him fine and then he said he'd buy takeout. Emily loves takeout but we can't always afford it so it's only on special occasions that we get it so it must be important. I tell him we'll be home before dark and he says that's fine. I cuddle up to Jamal a little more as we lay on the towels watching Emily swim "I know I've been a sucky boyfriend so I want to make that up. Do you think your dad will let me take you on a date this Saturday Night?" I sit up and gawk at him
"A date? I've never been on a real date before.
Where do we go? What do we wear?" I knew I was rambling but I didn't care.
I was excited about going on our first official date. "Well.." he says pulling me closer to him
"I thought we could watch a movie, eat and then go somewhere just us?" I smile as i peck his lips
"I'd like that. I'm sure my Dad will be okay with us going out. He's not working Sunday and I haven't gone out in like forever!" he laughed and pecked my nose on its tip and I giggled, he laughed and Emily made a vomiting noise
"gross! Can you sicko's please take me home?!"
"Sure" I laughed as I got up and out of Jamal's arms and grabbed his hand and pulled him up
"Thanks"
"Anytime" we got our things.
Shook off the sand and got back into the car and Jamal drove me home. "Thank you for taking us out. Emily had fun and so did I!" I said leaning onto him as he lent on his car
"Really?" he said with his eyebrows raised
"Yes i did and I'll text you about Saturday okay?"
"Sure, if not I'll grab movies, popcorn and drinks and spend it here with you"
"I'd like either one"
"Hmmm" he said as he pulled me in and kissed me passionately.
