After my totally embarrassment of almost peeing myself we go back to our tree and lay back down. My head in his lap as his caressed my hair "B, don't do it. not yet" I sigh as I close my eyes an enjoy his touching my hair
"Why?" I ask and he says softly
"For me, will you just not? You'll understand soon enough" I shrug my shoulders
"But Ja's organised a room and everything so I don't know if I can back down?"
"Tell him your scared and you can't and to wait. it's you birthday in 2 weeks. Do it then make it special?" he sounded like a whinny girlfriend so i look up at him
"Please? I've never really asked you for anything before but this means so much to me so will you?" I think about it and if I guess I could ask for him to wait and see how he handles it.
He was excited just as much as I was and was planning things. So he says. I look at Jasper and nod "Fine but I'm not holding back after my birthday! Got it!" he smiles and I laugh
"Thanks. You won't regret it I promise you. Whats 2 more weeks from a lifetime?"
"Nothing really" We lay there quietly for a while and I ask
"So since I'm doing something for you. Will you tell me who the girl is?" he chuckles making my head bobble around on his stomach making me laugh
"I knew you'd keep asking...look at your birthday I'll tell you but it has to be just us. No Jamal, no April, No Lily,No ..." I throw my hand up
"Okay I get it. A private chat gawd Jasper! That's all you had to say"
"I know but it's fun watching you fire up!"
"Thanks" i huff and close my eyes for a while until I fell asleep.
I wake to a gentle touch and my name being called "B, wake up!"
"B?!" I open my eyes and yawn and notice the sky is dark, shit it's night fall.
We've been sleeping for hours on the oval "Shit" i sit up and jasper laughs
"It's okay. I told Jamal and your dad you were with me and we'd falling asleep on the oval. You dad was a bit UN-approving but I explain we were just studying so he got over it. Jamal is at the carpark waiting for you"
"Really?"
"Yep" I hug him and place a kiss on his cheek
"Thanks Jasp. You're the best"
"I know" he says proudly and I kiss him again before running off to the carpark to Ja.
I find him on the phone in a deep conversation so I sneak up to him. "I know...Me too..." I listen for a moment and wonder who he's talking too when he turns around and spots me and smiles
"I've gotta go. Brook's here...okay Bye" he hangs up and walks over wrapping his arms around me
"Who was that?" I ask pointing to the phone
"Oh no one special. Come on I have a surprise for you" I follow him to the car and we get in and he takes me to a house I'd never seen before with a large for sale sign with another sticker of sold across it out in the front yard.
I look at Jamal "Are you proposing to me?" I ask a little shocked and he chuckles
"NO! No" he shakes his head
"Come on" I follow him up to the house and the door opens revealing Helen, Dad and Emily who's beaming with a wide smile
"What the?" I ask confused.
Dad wraps his arm around Helen and kisses her on the top of the head "It's ours!" she squeals and I look at them
"What?" I ask
"Yep, we bought it for our new family" he beams rubbing her stomach, I feel faint.
Jamal somehow catches me and asks "Are you okay Brook?" but everything starts to spin wildly then black................
I woke up in my room still feeling uneasy when I finally focus I see Jasper in my room. he looks worried and concerned "H-hey?" I say and he looks up from his phone
"Oh Hey. How are you feeling?" I touch my head as I sit up and I get a little dizzy
"whoa there" he coos as he rushes to my bed and sits beside me.
I feel his hand on my shoulder and I smile weakly but with my eyes closed "I'm fine Jasp, really?" I feel his hand rub up and down my arm and the warmth spreads through my body.
I finally open my eyes and things are not spinning so this is a good sign "Hey" I say again smiling and he smiles back
"Hey. You okay?" I nod
"Yeah, what happened?" I asked
"You fainted" I look around my room and ask
"Where's Ja?" he sighs
"He had to go somewhere so rang me and asked if I'd sit with you until he got back or woke up - so surprise!" he smiles.
His eyes dancing as he does which causes me to smile back "I like my surprise, thanks. So did Ja tell you where he went?" he shook his head "No sorry. Your dad said he got a call and then left after they got you home. Talking about your dad, I should tell him you're awake!" he gets up and I grab his hand - which sends tingles down my arm and up my spin, making the butterflies in my stomach erupt and I look at him
"Thanks Jasp. It means alot that you're here" he nods and then kisses my head softly
"I'm just glad your okay. I'll be back" our hands slip away and I watch him leave.
The feeling of emptiness runs through my veins and I sit back and sigh - why am I'm feeling this way. I love Jamal so why did I feel all weird when I touched Jasper? I don't know maybe it's just my head playing tricks on me? I lay back down and close my eyes. I just hope this is all a dream?
