After that beautiful day back on the coast where Jasper gave me that promise ring. We had both decided to go to college and study for 4 years, we were closer than ever and nothing ever came between us. He was my rock and was always there for me, through the ups and the downs of life and school. Jasper never stop trying to make me happy and i never stopped loving him more than ever. Jasper and I fell deeper love everyday and never looked back or at anybody else for that matter.
Jasper got a call one day from Jane she was going to marry Stanley, so Jasper and I went to the wedding where she announced Jasper was going to be a big brother. We were stunned of course more Jasper than me but he soon came around to liking the idea. We were s happy for them, Stan looked like a decent guy and he got along great with us while we were there. We stayed with them for a few weeks before we had to head home but Jasper took me out to dinner the night before we left and told me he never wanted us to ever part and how much he loved me, i thought it was the start of a wedding proposal but instead he asked if I wanted to go on a skiing trip to Canada, how could I not. It was across the world and I'd always wanted to travel, so of course I said yes so after we got back we started saving.
Then 6 months later we were off. Emily, Braeden, Helen and dad came to see us off. it was a teary moment but I promised them we'd be back soon. The flight there was long and boring but cuddling up to Jasper all the way there was worth it. I don't know what it is about him but just having him around me, makes me feel secure, protected and happy. I just hoped he felt the same way? When we got to our resort the first thing we did was sign up for skiing lessons. It was the best thing and the funniest. I think in the end the instructor gave upon us as we both were on our arse's more than on our feet but we did learn something from that experience. Ice hurts!
The 3 weeks there was awesome, we got to spend our nights cozy up in front of a lit light in our room, together and Jasper was the romantic and made each and every day or night something to remember. i got some great shots of us doing the tourist thing but it was almost time for us to go so Jasper found a tour on a dog sleigh where they take you out, you have dinner in a secluded log cabin for the night and then they pick you up in the morning and take you back to your hotel. i was reluctant at first as neither of us knew how to survive in the cold or really knew the mountains there but he begged with those dark eyes of his so how could I not say yes. We arranged well Jasper did all the arranging for the night before we left. i loved watching him organising things and getting excited when it fell into place. I looked at him and watched for a while and realised how much I want to spend my life with him and how I should propose or suggest and engagement. I mean I still wear his promise ring, in which I bought him one that e wears so people already think we're married so why not make it official? If only I'd thought about this sooner. i could have arranged for us to marry while here or something but no instead I've been lazing around and just enjoying all this time with him.
The day of our sleigh ride was here and we were both excited. Jasper had organised our meal which would be waiting at the log cabin so now it was time for us to huddle up and enjoy the ride there, while things dogs pulled us along. having Jasper right beside me made the cold disappear. i felt so warm and protected that nothing else mattered. He held me tightly to him ,kissing me every so often. Our guide would slow down and show us things or explain where we were or going and the whole experience was just magical. It is something it'd recommend everyone to try with their loved one. About 4 hours into our trek the guide slowed down to a stop in a large opening, everything was white from snow and so beautiful "Sorry Jasper and Brook but I just have to check on something. Would you like to explore a little?" I looked at Jasper, who's eyes lit up like Christmas trees and I knew what our answer was
"Sure" Jasper got out first and then me.
He grabbed my hand as we started to walk around. i couldn't feel nothing as I was frozen and missing the warmth of jasper beside me but I still enjoyed it.
