Not Home

My eyes were closed.  I opened them to see I wasn't home.  I was in front of a building.  It was like a big rubik's cube with the colored squares linked together to make a wall.  I was all alone here.  I saw no one else.  I looked behind me to see a big, red tower in the distance.  To the right of the tower, and closer to me was what looked like a waterslide.  It looked really cool in my opinion.  It was huge!  I heard a sound.
“Ugh,” I said to myself, “The tower is talking again… Am I delusional?”
I realized it wasn't the towers whispers, and looked around to find out what sound I heard coming closer and closer.  I looked at the building next to the one that looked like a rubik's cube.  It was a buffet… Big Brad's Buffet, BBB, it said on a sign above the door.  I looked to the right of that and immediately jumped forward and rolled onto my feet.  A car came skidding across the ground, making a scar on the concrete ground I was once standing on.
“Woah!” I yelled hoping the driver did that by mistake.
A heavyset woman opened the passenger door.
“OMIGOSH!  WE ARE SO SORRY!  EDDY JUST ALMOST RAN YOU OVER!  SAY SORRY TO THIS YOUNG BOY HUN!” The woman said, in a loud, mom-like voice.  I heard the driver's car door open and close and running to the back of his white van to where he can be visible.
“Oh my gosh, I am so sorry.  This is kinda new for me, this van.  I found it!” He said proudly.
I looked at the white van.  It reminded me of something.  A while ago actually.  Me and my friend Ed were walking to his house after school.  We saw this white van with a sketchy man in it.  That's when we came up with the joke.  The Pedomobile joke.  This joke would've gotten funnier if had a phone to take a picture of this van in front of me.  Surrounded by a green, curved, decorative stroke above it and the purple one below it was the word 'Pedomobile’ in red.  I held in a laugh.  This world was obviously linked to me somehow.
“It's fine,” I responded to the concerned, white scrawny man, “No damage done… Where am I by the way?”
“You don't know either?  Well… I'm not sure.”
“Can I name it?!” I asked the guy excitedly, I had a name in mind.
“Um… Sure, I guess.” Said the man the woman called Eddy.
“How about, The Jemscape?  Or, no… somewhere along those lines.  WAIT!  The Jemaverse!  How's that?”
“Good I guess.” Said Eddy.
“Awesome!” I said happily.
The woman in the passenger seat of the van was typing something on a phone.
“Wanda, what are you doing with that fake thing?  You know electronics you find here don't actually work.” Eddy exclaimed.
“Yes…. I uh… Of course, just stuff…” Wanda trailed off.
Seemed to me she wasn't telling something to Eddy.  I went towards the middle aged, heavy set woman wearing a red shirt and so called 'skinny’ jeans.  I wanted to check out what she was doing if the phone supposedly didn't work.  I took a single step when a sound of a huge explosion roared throughout The Jemaverse.  It came from behind the rainbow blocked colored building.  There was no way around it, and there seemed to be nothing past it.  I jumped at the sound of the explosion.
“Woah!” I exclaimed loudly, “I think that explosion made me temporarily deaf, so sorry if I'm yelling.  But what was that?!”
“Not sure,” Eddy said unfazed.
Wanda seemed to have a neutral expression on too.  She did nothing but looked towards the direction of the sound and put the phone in her pocket.
“When you live here long enough,” Eddy continued, “You get used to the sounds you hear back there.”
“What is it though?” I asked.
“Why, we don't know hun, it's cut off from this place.  We've never seen it or been there.” Said Wanda.
“Hm,” I thought, looking at the colorful building, “It seems to get there, we'd have to go through there.  What's in it?”
Wanda got out of the car and closed the door after her.  She walked closer and examined the building.
“Your talking about this one?  The Disco room?” Wanda answered.
“It's abandoned like every other part of this world.  Just full of tables and a disco dance floor.  Nothing special really.” Eddy added.
I walked over to one of the three evenly spaced sets of glass double doors and looked through.  On the left side and taking up some of the right were seven dark wood tables with a white square tablecloth.  Each of the round tables had six dark wood chairs that looked pretty expensive to buy in real life.  The decoration cut into it seemed to take a lot of effort and labor.  All the way to the right against the farther wall was a DJ stand thing.  In front of that was the colorful dance floor with a disco hanging above.  The only lights were from the light up floor of the dance floor.  It lit up in squares of different colors, changing every two seconds.
“There's got to be a secret exit in the back somewhere.” I whispered to myself.
Eddy overheard me and said, “I most confidently assure you that there's no back exit, you can see that from here.”
Eddy, me and Wanda were standing outside the doors.
“Well, I think it's a worth a while to check out the inside.  Agreed?”
Wanda looked to Eddy and he shrugged.
“Okay then.” Agreed Ed.
They followed me into the room.  Eddie's white shirt changed colors, corresponding to the lighting of the room radiating from the dance floor.  They seemed to not get the logic I was getting at.  They were looking in places other than the back wall, where the secret entrance would most obviously be hidden.  It was up to me finding it I guess.  My eyes and hands ran along the purple back wall of the Disco room.  For a moment I was beginning to think I was wrong there was nothing here.  But then I realized the vent in the wall.
“Guys!!!” I exclaimed loudly, interrupting Eddie’s searching under the tables and Wanda on the phone, “come look!”
I felt no air coming from the vent.  It wasn't real, but the metal cover was easily removable.  The others hurried over as I took off the cover.  It was dark in there and I ducked to look through.  There was light on the other side, and a very skinny passage to an endless uneven plain of purple rock.  I crawled through.  The pathway of purple rock looked dangerously skinny with an endless looking abyss at each side.  The rocks at the end looked extremely loose.  It would be foreseeable suicide to stand close to that edge.  Eddy climbed through after me and he looked around, looking as fascinated as I was.
“Uh, maybe a lil help here huns?” Wanda said from behind us.  I stood staring at the land of purple rock at the end of the path.  Eddy quickly turned and helped by trying to pull Wanda through by her arms.  In the endless plot of rock a quarter of a mile away from us I was a awkward looking hump in the ground.  It was a cave.  We heard an echo of a big rock falling from the cave ceiling.
“I've never seen purple rocks before.” Eddy said after a minute of successfully getting Wanda through the small hole.
“Me either,” I responded, “We should take a closer look.”
I started walking across the path and Eddy and Wanda followed after a second of considering.
“So, who are you?  Your like a kid, but, you seem to know a lot.  And me and Wanda have never met anyone else here in forever.  This is kinda a miracle.” Eddy explained while we were walking.
Another echo of a rock falling came from the cave.
“My name is Jemeni, and I have no idea how I got here.  But I think it was luck, because I’m pretty sure what I’m looking for is in here somewhere.”
“What is it your looking for?” Asked Eddy.
“A person.” I answered.
I didn’t mean to answer so curtly, but most of my attention was toward the cave.  After a long conversation with Eddy, we reached the mouth of the cave.  He just asked me a bunch of questions about earth after I told him that's where I’m from.
“Are we going in or?” Eddy asked.
“Oh, no hun, I’m staying out here!” Wanda said.
“I guess you guys can stay outside, but I’m going in.”
I walked to through the entrance and Eddy came with.  There was a turn in the cave and we stopped at the edge and listened.  There was talking.
"Stay still you brat!!!” A dark, annoyed voice said.
“No thanks, It’d be easier to stop trying and just let me go ya know.” Came another, more feminine, voice.
Without thinking, Eddy and I ran out of the corner and I ducked as soon as I saw it.
“Actually it’d be way easier to turn you to shadow!” Said Mare.
It was too late for Eddy to react to the blast.  A stream of blackness poured out of the gun Mare was holding and it hit Eddy and kept moving left.  I managed to duck and slide under it.  The ray of darkness made its way to a blond haired girl with a gun, well more of a blaster, in hand.  I got up immediately and went to see Eddy but he was changing color.  A aura of shadow surrounded him and he himself, turned into a 4D floating shadow.  I stopped in place as he came after me.  A dark flame grew in his hand.  He threw it and i slightly moved my head to the left to avoid the headshot.  He was turned.  I ran towards him and he did the same, growing more flame in his dark hands.  I jumped as he threw the flames of shadow at the ground.  With shadows at my feet I jumped supernaturally high, and right at the shadow of Eddy.  I raised my feet to his face and they collided, and the shadow diminished into just a fading cloud.  I did a full backflip before landing on the ground and looked towards where Mare and the girl was fighting.  Mare wasn’t shooting at the girl anymore, but staring dumbfoundedly at me.
“Ugh, that, gahhh!” He said, throwing the shadow gun to the ground in anger.  He was floating high above the ground, and the shadowy gun broke in two at the fall.  The girl looked at me and I recognized who she was.  She ran towards me and I stood still.  She stopped in front of me.
“I don’t know who you are, but we need to get out of here, and I know a way.  Come on!”
