Converging Armies

"What are they doing?" Said Carlos, looking out of the window, "it looks like their panicking.  But why?"
Kiara joined him to see what he was talking about.  The Tikis were running around crazy.  All of them, freaking out.  Carlos and Kiara both flinched as piles of wood and two Tikis came crashing down through the room's ceiling.  The Tikis screetched and flailed their arms.  After running around in circles they each ended up jumping through a window.
"What... Was that?" Kiara questioned.
The ground shook again and both of them easily agreed on checking outside.  Once outside, all seemed rather fine and calm, until a Sharp-Wing came running into sight.
"Mare?  here?" Said Kiara, before running into a jumping 360 wheel at the Sharp-Wing's head.
The Sharp-Wing's body followed it's head as it hit the ground.  Carlos's mouth opened wide at Kiara's strength and ability, but not only that.  In the distance he saw red, a whole bunch of red.  An army of red marching towards them.  Behind that appeared a giant, monster-like thing.  All of them coming from out of the crack in the ground, but neither of them seeming good.  Kiara tapped Carlos's shoulder and he turned around, looking over to the other side.  On the other side were Shadowmen, Sharp-Wings, Circlesauruses and Spyders, all marching towards them.
"This doesn't look too good." Said Kiara nervously.
"I agree."
They ran to the left where niether side was heading, and waited as the two armies met in the middle.  Once met, both armies fought against each other, starting a war.
"Aren't they both bad?" Asked Carlos.
"Doesn't mean they don't have different objectives." Kiara answered.
They watched the huge beast stomping over the fight and chase after the scared Tikis, running for their lives.  With only a single foot, the resort they were staying in was crushed under the monster's gigantic foot.
"Wouldn't that hurt?" Asked Carlos.
"What?"
"Stepping in a building.  You know the day I met you guys was the day I got a huge splinter.  It really hurt.  So I'd think stepping on a wood building could result in a pretty bad splinter.  Also stepping on a building for that thing would be like us stepping on Legos, wouldn't you think?"
"Uh, well I guess."
A branch snapped behind them and they turned to see a Redemon trip over a bush.  Behind it were two more, but another had just tripped over the already fallen Redemon.  Carlos laughed while the standing Redemon charged at Kiara, raising it's trident.  The Redemon swung at her and Kiara grabbed the trident with both hands and tried holding it away from her.  The two other Redemons, once up, surrounded Carlos, who long since stopped laughing, and was now very frightened.  One Redemon jumped towards him and punched, and Carlos ducked, making the Redemon trip over and stumble past him.  The other raised it's trident and whacked at Carlos's arm but the stumbling Redemon's head intercepted the hit, knocking it out.  The Redemon winded back for another swing and Carlos ducked under it and dove at it's legs.  He grabbed a hold of it's ankles and hugged them tightly.  The Redemon hopped back, trying to get him off, but instead fell back trying.  Dropping it's trident, Carlos rolled to it, picking it up.  As the Redemon lay there groaning, Carlos walked up to it raising the trident.  He brought it down, plunging the trident right through the Redemon's chest.
"Nice!" Said Kiara, leaving her Redemon leaning unconscious against the wall of a Tiki's hut.
"That, was scary." Carlos said, taking deep breaths.
"It'll get scarier if we wait here, so come on, we need some weapons, and to find your brother."
"But, the weapons..."
"Yeah, I know, we'll have to sneak through the converging armies to get them."
Carlos quivered at the possibility of failure.
