Kip woke up, tired, alone and strapped to some flat, metal surface held up above the ground.  Last thing he remembered was being on his own planet.  He was young, really young for his species.  His species, which was... He forgot.  How could he forget his own species?  He looked around at the dim purple illuminated room.  There was a red lever in the middle of the room next to a single red button on a stand.  Kip guessed it was for letting him down.  If only he could reach it, he thought.  He heard footsteps getting louder and got scared.  He shot up toward the ceiling without thought.  He saw he was now looking at the platform he was strapped too.  He was... In the wall.  He went to look at his body and it was gone.  He was about to freak out if he was just a head.  He lost concentration to the wall and fell to the floor.  He could see his body again.  He was still short like the rest of his kind, but different, and a shadowy black.  His fingertips were like a white metal attached to his shadowy hands.  He had a white belt on, and pointy shadowy feet.  A white stripe went around his ankles and wrists along with the white at the bottom of his feet.  He had tiny compartments inside of his white belt and a face in the center.  He put his hands to his head to feel his own head.  His own face was on the belt.  It was all black and shadowy with a tiny spike sticking out of the top of the back of his head with a white stripe separating it.  In the front of his face was a white oval with stripes of shadows traveling through it.  He heard the footsteps dangerously close and he ran towards a wall.  He phased himself into it and he sensed that only the white oval on his face was visible.  That's what he saw out of.  A man made of shadow floated into the room.  Kip tried to move through the wall and succeeded doing so.  It was easier than he thought.  Although he had to focus pretty hard on staying in the wall after a while of being in it.  He travelled towards the door and went above it.  It took a second but the shadow man realised he was gone.
"Oh no!" It said.
Kip travelled through the walls and phased out in an empty hallway and peered through a doorless room.  There was another shadow guy.  He seemed to be communicating with someone on a screen.  He couldn't see the screen clearly however.
"Why yes of course!" Said the shadow.
The purple light in the room went dim and started flashing red. An alarm went off.  And probably for Kip.
"What's that?" Asked the man on the screen.
He had a devilish, deep voice.
"Oh um probably nothing," said the shadow quickly, "I bet it's um... My cookies, I bet they're ready so... I'mma go bye!"
The shadow pressed a button that hung up the call and turned towards Kip.  Kip was luckily already gone from sight and in the wall watching the shadow walk out of the room.  The shadow mumbled something angrily under his breath as he left the room.  Kip let himself out of the wall and breathed out heavily catching his breath.  Phasing into stuff was hard.  It took out a lot of his energy.  He looked towards where the shadow man was and saw a ripped piece of paper on a desk full of buttons and touch screens.  He went over to it and picked it up to examine it when something else caught his eye.  Under where the paper was placed were cabinets with the third one was labeled 'TEST SUBJECTS'.  He opened it up and found yellow files with names on the top left.  He scrolled through them until his finger rested on what said, 'Kipper Platt'.  That had been his name.  He heard mumbling coming closer and realised the shadow was coming back.  He took the piece of paper and his file and phased back into the wall.
