I guess Kiara noticed me staring at the Nightmare I've never seen before, because as we charged towards them she mentioned, "They're called Spyders. Careful of they're eyes."
"Got it!" I answered. One of the far Spyders looked my way as I ran towards the Sharp-Wing nearest to me. Kiara stopped running paces away from the enemies and held up her blaster. The Spyder shot a red laser heading at me through it's right robotic eye. My sword sizzled as the laser came in contact with it and Kiara shot it spot on, with her first try. I was moments away from the Sharp-Wing when I jumped up and side kicked it's face. In the air I saw the Sharp-Wing behind it waiting for me to land. I threw my sword it's direction cutting through it and it flew back into my hand as I landed from my kick. The Sharp-Wing I kicked down stumbled had up and it flung it's sharp nails to my left. I ducked and raised my sword, making the Sharp-Wing's arm go right through it. It's metal arm fell and was stiff on the ground and green acid leaked out from it's elbow. I got up and sliced at the Sharp-Wing's neck and the body below slowly was getting swallowed by it's own acid. The body fell with the head falling the other way. I turned around to see a Shadowman coming in my direction. It threw a ball of shadow that I luckily managed to dodge with a backflip. I landed on the green bench behind me and jumped off toward the shadowman my sword ready to strike. The Shadowman seemed to be caught by total surprise of my quick attack it froze as I cut through it. I saw Carlos holding back two Shadowmen while Kiara already took care of her Spyder and Shadowman. Kiara easily shot the two Shadowmen from behind and right after more dropped from the sky. There were fifteen more, well now nine since Kiara shot down four of them and Carlos a surprising two. I decided to take my skill to the next level and I ran towards the nearest Shadowman at full speed. He threw a ball of shadow but was too late as I jumped backwards. I flipped myself in the air and my feet landed on the back side of the tree. I pushed off and did another flip just to impress, then kicked the Shadowman's face. Before its body disappeared completely, I jumped off of it towards the second nearest Shadowman and threw my sword at the first. My sword cut through the Shadowman and came back to me just as my feet landed on the other Shadowman. I jumped up and saw four more in front of me, and by instinct I held out my sword as I twisted slowly in the air. Unexpectedly, a whip of darkness stretched from my sword and it cut through four of the Shadowmen in front of me. The whip shrank back until it was just my sword again once I hit the ground. 3D shadows swirled and circled around my feet and it slowly sunk back in. As I did my stunt Kiara and Carlos took care of the two other Shadowmen I didn't get to finish off. They regrouped at my position as I caught my breath I barely lost. Well, I wasn't really catching my breath, it was more of admiring the awesome of what I had just accomplished.
"That was new!" I said straightening up.
"Yeah, and it looked pretty awesome to watch too." Said Kiara.
We looked towards where the tree and bench were and saw Kiki, Dill, and Kip running up to us while taking out a number of shadowmen on the way. Kiki used really awesome and impressively high karate kicks, and Kip teleporting place to place taking Shadowmen out one at a time. Dill wasn't really fight, but just running around trying to avoid getting hit. They made their way to us.
"Hi... Fellow... Living organisms..." I said as they arrived.
"Umm... I'm Kiki." Said the Tikkian.
"And I'm Dill!" The duck exclaimed.
"Uh, I think I told them that I'm Kip already, but we found the blue gem."
"Yup, and I'm the guardian now appearently!" Dill said proudly. Four shadowmen floated down and Mare along with them.
"You.... How many?" Mare said, then we waited as he counted silently to himself, "Six... I think! Give me the gem now."
"Neve-"
"We don't have it." I interrupted Kiki.
"Oh... You don't?" Said Mare, disappointed.
"Nope." I answered.
"Oh... Okay then! I'll destroy you, then find the gem myself!" He said as Spyders, Shadowmen and Sharp-Wings flew from the sky.
Dill looked around at the Nightmares surrounding him, but then something behind them caught his attention. It was Pat. He was running in the school, being chased by two Spyders. He bit his lip, wondering wether to go alone to help his only friend in this world, literally. Or to help his newly met allies defeat a powerful, chaotic and evil 4D shadow.
"I... Uh, I'm gonna step out for a sec." Dill said, running across the park and to the school.
"Ugh! Dill, you coward! You have the gem!" Kiki yelled agitatedly after him.
A smile formed on Mare's face.
"So the duck has the gem." He said to himself with a devilish smirk growing on his face.
Dill made it to the school and heard lasers shooting from inside. He ran in and saw Pat running out of a classroom and into another. He was about to close the door until he saw Dill and he held it open.
"DILL! HURRY, COMEON THERES A SCARY THING COMING! HURRY OR ITS GOING TO KILL US!" Said a panicked Pat.
"Calm yourself Pat," said Dill, "I could handle two, simple spider robots."
Pat put on the most confused face Dill has every seen.
"Your... Not even scared."
"Nope it's gonna be okay. I got this."
Dill barely heard the Spyder exit the classroom behind him.
"Dill! The thing!" Pat warned.
Dill turned around to face a red laser heading toward his face. He flinched and put the hand holding the gem in front of him. He shut his eyes until he realized no pain was felt. He opened them to see a wall of water in front of him. It was a shield of water.
"Woah!" Dill exclaimed in surprise.
Pat stared with his mouth left wide open with shock. The Spyder crawled closer and hit Dill's water shield once more. Dill felt pretty brave. He advanced toward the Spyder and stepped the it's side as it shot again. Pat ducked to avoid the stray laser and Dill impaled his shield of water into the Spyders pipe on it's back. Steam poured out as it fell to the floor.
"Haha!" Dill celebrated.
But he was pushed forward and forced to fall with a weight landing on his back. The second Spyder had sneaked up on him and tackled him to the floor. It's robotic eye that stared right down at him and grew brighter, Dill looked back in fear.
