"Friend?" Kiara asked the man.
The man said nothing and took another step.
"If he takes another step while looking at me like that, I'm gonna consider him foe." I said.
"Heh," laughed the man, "fresh meat for tonight."
"Huh?" I said, confused.
"Who are you?" Asked Alex.
"I'm... The hunter." He said in a deep voice.
"Oh... Cool..." Said Kiara slowly in the awkward silence.
He took another step and I acted immediately.
"Yup, he's a foe." I said quickly while running toward him.
I had my darkened sword already formed into my hand as I ran towards him.  He stayed very still and even seemed to be laughing a little.  I jumped at him, swinging my sword at his head.  Just before I reached him he lifted a leg lazily, kicking me down.  I hit the ground and rolled to my left when I saw his machete coming towards my head.  I got up as he pulled his machete from the ground.  He ran toward me with a long stride making me have to do a back roll to avoid his swinging machete.  I managed to scramble up and run away a little.  He took out his bow and I ducked as an arrow flew over me.  The bow went by me and headed for Alex, but Jay stretched his hands in front of her and formed a shield.  The arrow stuck into the shield, and dropped to the ground when Jay retracted his hands.  When I looked back the hunter was gone.  The leaves in the trees above rustled as Jay scooped me up with a hand and moved me from range of an arrow coming straight at me.  All of us ran, the hunter shooting arrows at us while being hidden in the trees.  The branches above us shook as he hopped branch to branch.  I predicted the next branch and threw my sword at it.  The branch got cut off and fell with the hunter, landing in front of us, on his feet along with it.  I jumped up and side kicked the hunter's face as we kept running.  It didn't do much, and the hunter jumped back up in the trees.  Arrows wizzed by us and Jay stretched his hand into an axe that cut down some of the trees behind us.  Through the falling branches I saw the hunter faceplant on the ground.  I held in a laugh but that must have been the most funniest thing next to the redemon king's faceplant.  We ran a while longer until we were sure the hunter wasn't following.  Then we started to walk calmly.
"Hm," I said, breaking the silence, "we never got the guys name."
"His name was, 'The Hunter'." Answered Carlos.
"That seems more like a title than a name." I responded.
"That's true." Alex agreed.
"True indeed."
"He was hot." Said Alex.
"Haha, was.  You'd probably think otherwise when you see him after he just fell off a tree and onto his face," I said laughing, "did you see it?  He's hopping around like Tarzan and thinks he's gonna get us then boom, flat on his face."
I couldn't stop laughing.  But for the others, not laughing seemed easy.  And not walking... And staring.  I looked in front of me and the hunter was feet away, staring at me just as before.
"He's still hot." Said Alex.
"And he still has that creepy stare." I added.
"I wouldn't call it creepy." Alex argued.
"Well I would." I said back.
"What do you want?" Kiara asked.
"To hunt." Said the hunter.
"Yeah, no duh." I said laughing.
The hunter smiled maliciously.
"Then go off and hunt something other than us!" Said Carlos.
"Hm..." Said the hunter as he unstrapped the machete from his belt, "I've never hunted other humans in a long time, especially when they're as challenging as you three.  I prefer a challenge.  Also a change in food... Dead Tiki gets boring after a while."
He took a step toward us.
"You walk so slow, if you don't mind we're trying to hurry here." I said impatiently.
"You should be scared." Said the hunter, taking another step closer.
"And you should be too." Added Kiara.
"Why is that?" Asked the hunter.
"This place is going to collapse any minute now." Kiara answered.
The hunter stood in thought for a moment.
"Hm... What are you four expecting to do about it." He asked.
"There's a way out, through these woods." Said Alex.
"Through MY woods." Corrected the hunter.
"Yeah, sure." Said Alex sounding sarcastic.
"So are you going to help or go down along with the island?" I said before the hunter could continue.
He took a step back, "I... Hm... I guess we can make a deal.  I'll leave you alone, only if you let me have your little Tiki pet in your bag there." He said while pointing at Jay.
"No way!  You got to hunt us for a while, you should be lucky we don't hurt you and you have a way out of this island." Said Alex.
"Hm..." Was all he said before jumping into the trees and vanishing through the leaves.
"That man was weird." I said as I continued walking.
"I hate him... But still he's hot." Said Alex.
All of us continued walking, no longer worrying about the hunter coming back.
"So you don't think he was even a little creepy?" I asked Alex.
"If by creepy you mean hot, then yeah."
"Did you see the way he stared and stalked toward us like a cat?"
"Yeah but did you see-" Alex got cut off by a Circlesaurus knocking down trees on it's way toward us.
"Hm... We're basically attracted to danger." Said Alex.
"And you just realized this?" Asked Kiara.
Behind us we heard a noise.  We turned to see about five more Circlesaurus's heading our way.
"Well... Poop." I said.
"We should, most likely run.  We're running out of time anyway." Suggested Kiara.
We all agreed and ran around the right of the Circlesaurus, avoiding the falling trees.
