The Redemons clapped at their king's arrival, one of them dropping their trident on another's helmet, causing a domino effect of falling and shoving. I refrained myself from laughing hysterically, and noticed Alex doing so as well. The Redemons soon started arguing and getting aggressive, and the king shook his head in disappointment.
"Listen up." He says.
The Redemons continued, making the king mad.
"I SAID LISTEN UP!" He screamed impatiently.
The crowd went silent and kind of straightened up. One Redemon in the back ran into a wall, due to it's helmet hanging over it's face. That was the last noise made.
"Now, if you'll allow me to continue," Said the king, "We're all here to discuss a very important matter. Tomorrows a ver-"
"If this is about the clogged toilet, it was already clogged before I got there." Interrupted a Redemon.
"Me neither." Yelled another.
"Yeah right, Roger, we know you did it."
"Nooo, I'm constipated so I can't even be accused." Said Roger, crossing his arms.
"Then why even waste the time to say it wasn't you?"
"Why did you waste the time to-"
"We AREN'T here to discuss... That issue... But instead, the taking over of the beings in the world abo-" The king was starting.
"Uh, sir," Interrupted a Redemon, "The thing we keep in the cage... There's poop."
"Poop?" Questioned the king.
"Uh, yeah... It's everywhere."
"Who did I put in charge of getting that thing a diaper?" Asked the king.
One of the Redemons slowly backed away.
"Steve!" Yelled the king, and the Redemon flinched, "it was you, wasn't it?"
"No..."
"Too bad your still cleaning it."
"But-"
"Speaking of butts, you'll have to help it wipe itself as well."
"Ugh, fine."
The Redemon walked away while the king was still talking.
"He can lead us to the thing." I whispered to Alex.
"Okay then." She responded, nodded to Jay. Jay stretched one of his arms around me and grappled a spot on the wall. He swung us down low, and hooked and swung from the spikes on the cieling. I held onto Alex as Jay swung us high, quiet and out of sight. It was pretty fun actually. Kind of like a rollercoaster, but more real. The Redemon looked back and Jay changed direction and dropped us at a corner. I peeked out and saw the Redemon continue walking. We came out from behind the corner and followed him closely behind, until it became too risky and slow. I pointed towards the cieling to Jay and he nodded in understanding. He launched Alex up and out of sight as I snuck up and tapped the Redemon's right shoulder. I ran quickly in front of him going to his left, as he looked right. I walked backwards facing him until he stopped and turned all the way around. After seeing noone, he shrugged, turned forward to walk again, and stopped dead in his tracks.
"Hey Steven, wazzup?" I said cheerfully.
His face was full of surprise. He was so stunned of shock, but I really didn't want to be rude and take the first hit. After letting him recover, I ducked under the Redemon's haymaker from the right, and backrolled away from his kick. As he stepped towards me, ready to strike again, Jay came flying down. Alex, with her foot extended, hit the Redemon square in the face as Jay let his hands return back to him. He landed Alex softly on the ground, as Alex landed the Redemon painfully unconscious.
"Woah, awesome!" I exclaimed.
"Comeon." Said Alex, already hurrying along.
"Coming!" I said while following after her.
After a while of running we reached a huge, steel double door... With two Redemons as guards, on the left and right. They each held golden tridents and the horned helmets. I was about to gesture Jay to do something, but Alex noticed and stopped me.
"No dramatic entrance?" I asked.
"No need." She responded confidently, then approached the guards casually.
They stood completely still, trying to look formal, and not yet noticing us. I followed behind her, and before we reached them, a bug flew by one of the Redemons. The bug flew back around and landed on the right Redemon guard's nose. The Redemon flinched, then extended both his arms and hands to his sides. It hopped around and, opening it's hand, accidentally threw it's trident at the guard on the left, knocking him down. The guard on the right continued freaking out and moved so frantically it's helmet flew over it's face. It stumbled back and fell, hitting the back of it's head on the steel doors. The other Redemon had been getting up, but before it could even register what happened, the fly's form was replaced by Jay, double kicking the Redemon and rendering it unconscious.
"Wha..." Was all I could say.
"Hm?" Asked Alex as Jay ran over and climbed back in her bag.
"He can..."
"Shapeshift? Yeah."
"That's awesome!!!"
The ground shook and a rawr eminated from the steel doors.
"So how do we see what's in there?" Alex asked.
I shrugged. We examined the huge doors, and noticed a giant slot that can be opened and closed way high up. It was like a slot to put mail in or to peek through, but for giants. Jay stretched his hand up to it and pulled us up. He then pryed open the slot, allowing us to enter. It was completely dark so Jay pulled a flashlight out from the bag. He handed it to Alex who turned it on. Inside all I saw was red and grey. We dropped down and right away realized we were stepping on mushy, wet and highly disgusting skin. It shook and rawred once more. Ahead was metal, metal... On a monsters back. It must have been huge, it's back wasn't too far from the slot we entered. Me and Alex walked in disgust to the metal object, and saw a door leading inside. Alex opened the door and walked in. I was about to follow until the beast moved, bringing me back. It moved back and ran forward, bending the steel door. It did it again and again, slowly breaking through, screetching. I slid off the side about to fall off until the darkened sword appeared in my hand. I cut into it's side, and it slowed my fall. I directed myself down it's stomping legs and pushed off when I was low enough not to go splat. I ran through a crack in the doors made by the rampaging beast and ran to the corner just as the monster broke through. The doors flew off the hinges, the giant beast, the size of a skyscraper, running out. It skid along the floor and hit the wall trying to take the turn. I looked back to see it running my direction, and started running faster. It was hard, but I managed to keep on my feet with the stomping of the beast shaking the ground.
