"I'm Red.  Red the bat." It said.
"So... Like your name is literally Red?" I questioned.
"Why yes, my name is Red."
"As in my favorite color red?"
"Yes, my name is Red."
"Well why'd you attack me?"
"The red gem was glowing."
"A red gem too?  Wait... Is that the gem that goes in the book?"
"Yes..."
"So is it yours?  That gem?"
"Well, no."
"How is it that I asked all the questions I had and I'm still very confused."
"You let Mare take the book."
"I didn't let him take it... He just took it."
"Millions can be erased with that book."
"There's a difference between letting someone take something and someone taking something."
"My planet in my dimension was destroyed.  All because of that book."
"If there was a choice I totally wouldn't have given the book to Mare."
"So I came here, protecting the red gem so the wrong hands won't be able to open it again."
"But we'll get it back, but kno-"
"You'll get the book back?" Red interrupted.
"Yes, of course." I assured.
"You better," Red said with warning in his voice, "Or the last thing your going to see is the immense power that book holds."
Red jumped up and used his claws to cling onto the side of the tower.  He climbed up effortlessly leaving me down here alone.  I watched him disappear up the high building, then got up and picked up the button he made me drop.  I pressed the button on it and the light around me grew until I saw nothing but brightness.
