"She just asked you? Did she tell you something?" she asked after closing her bedroom door.
"No. But I don't know," I sighed, "I feel like she is hiding something from me. And my mother probably has something to do with it as well because she was the one that called her in the first place"
Allison nodded, biting her lip in thought while a passed my hand through my hair in frustration.
"What did you tell her when she asked if you have seen anything?"
"I was about to tell her, but then my dad arrived and after dinner, I just pretended I was with a headache and went to my room. And today I left as soon as I could so I wouldn't face her," I sighed, "I don't know if I should tell her or not"
"Is the same thing with my dad. I know he knows something. It just- I have this feeling that he knows, you know?" I nodded because it was the same with me and grams. "I want to talk to him, to understand what is happening, but I don't think he will tell me" she shook her head and I just pursed my lips, not really knowing what to say. "I'll try to find out either way"
I nodded, "I'm with you"
...
"Did you know Lydia kissed Scott?"
My foot pressed on the break making the car halt harshly. Lucky for us, we were using sitting belts. I turned to look at Allison with my eyes widened at her question. "She what?!"
"Apparently, the two of them went to Coach's office to talk and suddenly their lips slipped on each other," she scoffed.
"Wow..." I blinked a couple of times. "Wow!" I looked at her. "When was this?"
"A couple of days ago," she looked at me, "Why?"
"Because Scott did the same with me," my eyes widened again when I saw the look on her face. "Oh, no no no! Not this!" I quickly said. "He asked to talk to me, he wanted to apologize for what happened that night at school, but..."
She frowned, "But, what?
"He wanted to know what I had seen," I said looking at her.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, he asked what I had seen and then he was dead set on making me think I was crazy and that it was Derek inside the school that day"
I watched as Allison's frown deepened, her lips pressing against each other for a few seconds before she tried to shake it out. I knew she was trying to pretend Scott didn't affect her anymore, but I could see it. "Anyway," I tried to change the topic, pressing on the gas slightly so the car would move again. "Does Lydia know you know?"
