"Again," Cody ordered as Emily attempt to hit him but failed, "Again"
Emily tried to punch him, but he caught her hand. Quickly she threw her leg hitting his gut, making him fall to the ground.
"That's it," she said letting herself fall on the floor.
After accepting Cody's offer to help her, Emily changed. She barely talked to her family, afraid to face any of them after she discovered what happened to her twin brother. The shame and guilt were eating her alive and she couldn't look into her parent's eyes after that.
So she kept training with Cody, wanting to learn control of what she is so she could help instead of hurting people like it happened to her brother.
"C'mon, it hasn't passed even two hours"
"Yeah, and for how long we've been doing it again? Oh, yeah, that's right, more than a week! And I'm late," She rolled her eyes as Cody chuckled looking at her amused.
"Should have done the homework yesterday like I told you,"
"Shut up," she mumbled before gulping the water Cody offered her.
"But, seriously now. You're really good. I think we can start trying to use your powers now"
"What?" Emily's eyes widened.
"We can bring out the badass hunter with ancient skills and see what you can do," he smirked
"Sure. Just one little problem: I don't know how to bring the 'badass hunter with ancient skills' out," Emily said mimicking Cody's voice.
"This is why I'm here my dear," he smiled stretching his hand out to Emily.

"Sorry, what is that again?" Emily asked looking at the small vial that Cody held in his hand.
"Just something to help. I had a friend a while back, and he knew a lot of supernatural things, one of them is how to bring the supernatural side of a supernatural creature. This basically will make your powers appears so you can learn how to control them," Cody explained as Emily's eyes narrowed looking at the thing.
"I don't know... "
"We went this far Emily, now is the time you will actually learn something new. C'mon, let's start," he said anxiously waiting for Emily to drink the liquid. He shook it a little taunting her as her eyes wondered between the vial and his face.
With a reassurance in his face, he managed to convince Emily to drink the thing, looking intently to any change in her manner.
Emily took one little sip, the taste in her mouth was a little bitter but bearable. It didn't last seconds before she felt the same force that runs through her body when she picks her bow. Taking slow breaths, she lowered her hand.
