(So... This line expresses anger. There are times when this line is used when you see a cute kid and you just want to hug him tight and pinch his cheeks. ^____^)
CHAPTER TEN:
"ATEEEE~!! SA WAKAS, NA-CONTACT KA NAMIN!"
-"SISTER~!! FINALLY, WE MANAGED TO CALL YOU!"
(Ate means older sister in Filipino; a fact about this is that even if you're not related to them, you call others Ate or Kuya -the Filipino word for elder brother-. Or mostly Tita or Tito -Aunt or Uncle- or Ale or Manong -Miss/Ma'am or Sir. Example: "Ate/Kuya, bayad ho!/ Pakiabot po, Kuya/Ate" We say this when we're in a Jeep and we have to give our fair to the driver in the front. If you're far away from the driver, you can give your fair to the one next to you and they will continue passing it on until it reaches the driver.)

-"ATE~!! WAKE UP!"
CHAPTER SIXTEEN:

-Banduria is a 14-string bandurria used in many Philippine folkloric songs, with 16 frets and shorter neck than the 12 string bandurria. This instrument probably evolved in the Philippines during the Spanish period, from 1521 to 1898. The Filipino bandurria is used in an orchestra of plucked string instruments called rondalla. It is tuned a step lower than the Spanish version, that is, low to high: F# B E A D G.
CHAPTER SEVENTEEN:
-By tagis lakas, I mean Intramurals. That is when we usually have games including ball games, board games, and cheer dance competitions in school.
-Buwan ng Wika is the name of a holiday that is marked by Filipinos during the month of August, usually around the 19th. On this day festivals are held and schools all over the nation perform plays to celebrate the origins of their language and their country.
"ANG MAIBA KAY SIYA'Y TAYA!"
-When we play some games, we have to choose who's the 'it'. We usually do the thing, like facing your hand up or down thingy xDD. The phrase means, "The one who's different is the 'it'!"
I need to explain the Tumbang Preso clearly because the one I described in the story is how WE play it. By WE, I mean me and my friends.
The rules of tumbang preso are somewhat similar to Duck on a Rock:
An IT, the one to guard the milk can is chosen by throwing the 'pamato' (the slipper or a small rock used to hit the can) to the toe-line by all the players. Whoever's pamato is farthest from the toe-line is the IT. The hitters will line up at the back of the toe-line and at a signal from the IT, game starts. The pamato must be retrieved immediately once the can is knocked down; otherwise once the IT has placed the can inside the circle, the one tagged becomes the IT. When the can is hit and falls outside the circle but remains standing, the IT has the right to tag the hitter once the hitter leaves the toe-line. The can may be kicked or knocked down under when it is outside the circle. If a hitter is not able to retrieve his pamato, the others can save him by hitting the can.
CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE:
"Bahala na si Batman..."
-This is kinda hard to translate. Bahala kinda means like "Whatever or I don't care"... It's like letting things happen. I often say that when I have a quiz and I didn't study because I'm lazy... I would say "Bahala na nga!" and shut the book close...
CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE:
“Best, tama na pagiging pilosopa, arasso?”
-"Best, stop being sarcastic, okay?"
CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT:
"Yah! Uljimarayo!"
-This is korean. It means "Hey! Don't cry!"
