Bilbo saved me. Would die for me. I am his king. His friend. His protector. I owe him my life. I love him. But could he love me back? No. When this war is over he must go home. I will fade. My One away from me. I can't let that happen. I must make it alive and keep him safe! Not him facing all this evil alone with me in a coffin somewhere in Erebor! I just can't!
"You're thinking, Thorin. Pining, may I say. What's the problem, lad?"
"Nothing, Balin."
