Mysterious Adventure Part 1

Chapter 57: Adjusting in our new home

Everyone seemed to be enjoying the new mansion since there were more rooms than our old one but it's the adjusting that is what we need to get used to since some of us end up walking in the wrong room. I was outside scanning the new area so that we can set our perimeters which is usually the entire forest but I think we should put it up to the old mansion to see how things work plus there will be a lot more room in the woods to get rid of the bodies. I was still on night watch so nothing changed much with my shift but a few got theirs changed to see how they do in a different atmosphere. My marks would still glow but not enough to give me or the others away which was a plus, for now, we wouldn't switch with the others until around about 5 in the morning some of the living room stuff is out of place or in the wrong spot so we moved them around. Jeff was still concerned that Nick would be after me still even if we moved to a new location but Slender kept on reassuring Jeff that I would be fine and Jeff kept on assuming otherwise. The kitchen and dining room have a lot more room than our old mansion which everyone was happy about, I was downstairs in the new living room and I heard someone come up from behind me I said "you better speak now or you might end up with one of my knives in your chest". Masky said "so how do you feel about the move" I looked over to masky and I said "this... is nothing to me," Masky said "how so?" I said, "before I became one of you guys my family did a lot of moving because of my father's job". Masky said "I see," I said "how are you handling the move?" Masky said "it's definitely needs some getting used to I'll say that for sure" I smile at Masky before getting up and going on a walk outside. Looking around the area I began to wonder 'do my friends even know that I moved to a different mansion' it was around the afternoon where the others would be coming back from their morning shift. I decided to go on my shift early to get a better look and I happen to see two people I look to see a piece of paper in their hands it was my bounty. Stranger 1 said "if we find her and turn her in we can split the money we wouldn't have to worry about anything anymore," Stranger 2 said, "yeah, especially with this huge bounty we have". I go to pull out two of my knives and I jump into a nearby tree making one of the tree branches move Stranger 1 said "did you hear that?" Stranger 2 said, "hear what? All I see is some moving tree branches possibly from a bird". I throw one of my knives at them and it lands one of them in the head Stranger 2 said "shit! I need to get out of here!" I followed the other that was running off and I threw my other knife at him and it also landed in the head. I heard the other looking for me so I went over in their direction Hoodie said "hey we've been looking for you" I said "sorry about that we had some intruders trying to get over but I think we should be fine for now". The rest of our shift had a few people looking for us but not as many as we thought we would have which is also a good thing, I've also begun to notice that some of my feathers were falling out again so new ones can grow in.
