Chapter 49: Hunter cages

I was outside walking then I heard something off in the distance and I went to follow the noise to see what it was and if it was something I have to deal with, once I got there I jumped into the nearest tree to stay out of sight. I saw lots of hunter cages being set up as well as the hunters probably here for the price on my head but the cages could mean that they are after the others and I don't want the hunters near the house. I was about ready to pull out my knife but I saw Eyeless Jack next to me Eyeless Jack said "figured that you didn't want to handle this alone since there are 30 of them". I looked over to Eyeless Jack and I said "so what should we do with them" Eyeless said "we can try to take them out one by one" I said, "we could but all of them have to be alone in different spots". We waited until it was dark enough so that the hunters wouldn't be able to see me and Jack as we went after them, one of them went off to go check on the cages I'm assuming. So I attacked him from behind plunging my knife into the back of his chest then I pulled out my knife as blood started to gush out of him then he fell to the ground I threw his body in the cage and then went after the others. Eyeless Jack said "1 down 29 to go" as he was standing in a tree waiting for one of them to come over so he could jump them when they weren't looking. Hours passed and we were down to 5 left in the woods the sun started to come up "shit"  we were running out of time but I looked over to Eyeless Jack to see that he was collecting the kidney's from the hunters that we killed. I heard something click off in the distance before I knew it Eyeless Jack was standing in front of me with a bullet wound in his arm one of the hunters have found us. I looked at the hunter that had put a bullet in Jack's arm Hunter 4 said "you two are coming with me so I can get my pay" Eyeless Jack said, "like hell, we aren't going anywhere with you". I could see that Eyeless Jack was holding back his pain from the wound he has in his arm Hunter 4 said "the lady behind you has a pretty nice bounty on her head and I'm going to take her in". The gun was pointed at Eyeless Jack again but this time it was pointing at his head at that moment I felt my body change into something but it felt like I had control over it this time. I went after the hunter as he started to run from me seeing that I was going to kill him but he didn't get far I took my fang-like teeth and ripped off both of his arms the hunter screamed in agony. While I was in this unknown form I had taken I used my magic to use my knife and I plunged it into his head the other 4 hunters heard the noise that was being made and followed not knowing the sight they were in for. I walked back over to Eyeless Jack to see that he was sitting down trying to get the bullet out of his arm Eyeless Jack sees the form that I am in. I heard footsteps behind me I go to look and it was the other hunters coming after us Hunter 3 said "what the hell is that thing?!" Hunter 2 said, "it doesn't matter just kill them and get the bounty". Hunter 5 said "wait wasn't the person we're looking for a female plus we don't know what this thing is-" Hunter 1 said, "SHIT GET READY TO KILL THIS FUCKING THING!" Eyeless Jack smirked at them and said, "you can try but you will just end up dying instead". I went after them one by one tearing them apart blood soaking the ground, leaves, and trees until there was one left Hunter 1 said "this... this thing isn't human it's a demon!" I said, "your dam right". Then I killed him my body turned back to normal as I passed out Eyeless Jack caught me and saw that Jeff was running towards us and the carnage that was left Jeff said, "the hell happened here!?" Eyeless Jack said "killing spree". Jeff saw that Jack's arm was bleeding Jeff said "hey are you okay man? your arm is bleeding" Eyeless Jack said, "yeah I'm fine it's just a bullet wound I will fix it up when we get to the mansion". Jeff carried me so that way Eyeless Jack wasn't in that much pain with his arm I still needed to find a way for me to control the one power without passing out when I am done using it.
