Chapter 20

*last week of April*
Hayden's pov

The guys had finished their tour and had came back to Miami to visit us. They were on their way to our house. Taylor and I were trying to clean everything up since we had been so busy recently with our own jobs. We hadn't had time to clean in a while. That's when there was a knock on the door. Taylor and looked at each other with wide eyes. The house was nowhere near clean, but I guess it'd have to do for now. I walked to the front door and opened it.

"There's my girl!" Jack immediately picked me up, spinning me around. "I'm so proud of you!"

He set me back down, and I hugged him. Taylor and I hugged all the guys. I watched as she saved Daniel for last so she could hold onto him a little longer than she had the other guys.

"We missed you two," Corbyn told us.

"We missed you guys, too," Taylor smiled.

"Yeah, it's been a crazy month," I agreed.

We all sat around the living room as we continued talking about random things. I didn't even know half of the things that they were talking about to be honest.

"Oh!" I said really loud.

Jack hadn't told the other guys about me going to Germany over the summer, and the guys also didn't know about Taylor going on tour with Justin Bieber. I grabbed Taylor's hand and pulled her up to stand next to me.

"We have some very exciting news," I smiled and looked at Taylor. "I'll go first since Jack already knows about it, and the rest of you don't."

Everyone stared at me.

"The NAIA is going to sponsor me to go to Germany for the summer to work on my art!" I announced.

Everyone's reactions were priceless. Jack was just smiling like crazy.

"That's great!" Zach yelled.

"I'm so proud of you! What the heck!" Corbyn beamed.

"Okay, okay. Settle down. Taylor's news is even more exciting!" I told them.

They all went silent.

"I'm going on tour with Justin Bieber!" she blurted.

Daniel's jaw dropped. The guys started freaking out. Daniel got up and hugged her, picking her up off her feet. Jack ran up to hug me because he was happy for both of us. Eben was the funniest, though. He just saw on the couch trying to process what just happened. All the guys calmed down again, and Taylor and I had back down. We were all talking about this summer.

"Wait..." Jonah said.

Everyone stopped talking.

"Neither one of you are going to be here, so we won't be able to see you," Jonah pointed out.

"Oh, yeah. We had planned to stay here for the summer just to be with you," Zach pouted.

"We aren't going to stop you from pursuing your dreams, though. You're obviously going to come back," Corbyn said.

"I'll go with you to Germany," Eben told me, jokingly.

"I think we'd all like to go to Germany," Zach agreed.

"Or go on tour with Justin Bieber. That'd be so dope," Corbyn looked at Taylor.

"Yeah. He's a legend," Daniel added.

"This is why I'm going to miss you," Taylor looked at Daniel.

I don't think anyone heard it or saw that, but I didn't. Everyone else was having their own conversations now. Eben put his arm around me. I could tell that Jack was a little uneasy when Eben did those things with me. Almost as if he was jealous. Jonah was the only chill guy in the whole group.

"When do you leave, Taylor?" Corbyn asked her.

"Next week," she answered.

"Oh, we don't have that much time with you," he pouted.

"That's why we have to make the most out of it," she smiled.

"Whenever you stop in Germany, we need to meet up," I told her.

"I forgot one of the stops is in Germany. This is going to be awesome," Taylor said.

"Ugh. We have to go back to L.A. while you two are out traveling," Zach complained.

"Well..." Taylor trailed off.

"We actually need someone to watch the house," I blurted.

They all looked at me.

"You could just stay here. I wouldn't feel comfortable if I asked anyone else to watch over it," I explained.

"Yeah. We know you guys wouldn't mess up our house," Taylor agreed.

All the guys exchanged looks.

"I don't see why we couldn't," Corbyn smiled.

"Great! Now we don't have to worry about some random person watching our house," I gave Taylor and high five.

We hung out with the guys for the rest of the day until it was about 10:30. Everyone decided to watch a movie, so we rented The Death Cure. I loved that movie, but I also hated it. I cried every single time I watched it. Everyone ended up switching seats except for Taylor and Daniel, who shared the recliner. Corbyn took the other recliner. That left me, Zach, Jonah, and Jack on the couch. I was between Jonah and Zach. Then Jack was on the other side of Jonah. When it got to the part where Newt died, I let a few tears fall, but I held the rest back. Jonah looked down at me. He seemed worried.

"Are you okay?" he whispered as he wrapped an arm around me.

"This part gets me every time," I wiped the tears away.

Jonah pulled me closer to him, and we finished watching the movie. By the time it was over, the only people awake were me and Jonah. I leaned into him before falling asleep on his shoulder.
