Hayden's pov
After Daniel left, I was able to get back in my actual seat. Jonah scooted back into his seat as well. We looked at each other and laughed.
"Do you think he's going to ask her out soon, or do you think he's going to wait?" I asked.
"I'm not sure. He said he wanted it to be the right time," he answered.
"I can't wait. They're going to be so cute," I shipped them so hard.
"Corbyn has a girlfriend. Daniel is getting a girlfriend. I wonder who's next," he laughed.
"I don't know, but I'm so happy for Taylor," I smiled. "I've been the one to keep her happy all these years, and I just wanted someone to make her even happier."
"I don't think a boyfriend is going to make her happier than you make her," he shook his head. "That's impossible."
"I mean, yeah, she's my best friend. Her last boyfriend treated her like crap. He's why she distances herself from most people," I sighed and looked down. "He was the worst. I thought he was going to be good to her, and I was wrong. I let this happen to her."
I started realizing that it was all my fault why she had trust issues. I was the one who introduced her to him. I was the one who encouraged them to date. She was distancing herself from people because of a stupid guy I let her date.
"Don't blame yourself. None of that was your fault," Jonah grabbed my hands.
I looked up at him with tears in my eyes.
"Hey, it's okay. This isn't your fault," his face fell.
"Jonah, you don't even know," I shook my head.
"I know that you're an amazing girl that loves her best friend and would do anything if it meant she would be happy," he looked into my eyes.
I looked away and wiped my underneath my eyes trying to avoid my bottom lashes since I had mascara on. I looked back at him before awkwardly hugging him since we were sitting down. He pulled me onto his lap, and it was so much easier to hug him. I buried my face in the crook of his neck as he tightened his grip around me.
"You know you're good at cuddling," I sniffled and laughed.
"I love cuddling," he said.
"Awww. You're actually really soft. You come off as a very manly person, but you are so sweet and adorable," my heart melted.
"What is going on over here?" Corbyn appeared in my seat.
I picked my head up off of Jonah's shoulder and gave him the why-are-you-here look.
"I got bored and saw the seat open," he shrugged. "Now answer my question."
"Jonah is just so warm and cuddly," I told him.
"I know," Corbyn said.
"What?" I laughed.
"I'm kidding," Corbyn laughed. "But you two are so cute."
He gave an innocent smile. I just laughed buried my face in the crook of Jonah's neck again.
"Well, I guess I'll go now," Corbyn shrugged. "You make me miss Christina."
"Wow, Corbyn," Jonah laughed.
"Shut up," he laughed before getting up and going back to his seat.
That left Jonah and I alone again. We just sat there. It was even awkward. We were just enjoying each other's presence.
"Attention, we are going to be landing in five minutes," the lady on the intercom announced.
"Nooo," I whined.
"We still have a few minutes," Jonah said.
"For now on you're my cuddle buddy," I laughed.
"I'm okay with that," he agreed.
We stayed where we were until we knew we had to get back in our seats. The plane landed, and we got off to go to luggage claim. The guys met us there.
"Have a good flight?" Zach asked us.
"I slept through most of it," I shrugged before wrapping my arms around Jonah's torso and burying my face into his chest.
"Yeah. I listened to music pretty much the whole time," Jonah added.
"I was freaking out over whether or not I should ask Taylor out," Daniel was still nervous, I could tell.
"Daniel, chill. It's going to work out fine," Jack reassured him.
"Meanwhile, Jonah and Hayden got me all up in my feels missing Christina," Corbyn folded his arms.
"What?" Zach laughed.
"Look at them! They're so freaking cute! They were cuddling on the plane, and I just want Christina here," Corbyn whined.
"Luggage!" Zach yelled and ran to get his suitcase.
Jonah and I slowly made our way over to get our things. I didn't want to let him go because he was just so warm, plus he smelled good. I eventually had to let go, and we got our belongings. We went outside, and an uber was waiting for us. We all got in, and there wasn't a lot of space. I was squished between Jonah and Jack.
"This is starting to feel like the plane again when Daniel was trying to sit with us," Jonah looked at me.
"It really is," I laughed.
I looked over at Jack and smiled at him. That put a huge smile on his face. I was glad I made him smile.
"I'm just mad that I won't see Taylor until tomorrow. I want to see her now," I pouted as I turned to look up front.
Daniel was in the front seat. Corbyn and Zach were in the back while Jack, Jonah, and I were in the middle.
"I'm terrified," Daniel turned to look at me.
"Be quiet and turn around. Everything is okay to be okay," I laughed and shook my head.
