Hayden's pov

I had just gotten off work and was back at my house. Taylor was still at practice, so I had the house to myself for a while. I took an early shower and threw on some black athletic shorts and a pastel yellow t-shirt that said "MALIBU" across the front. I checked my messages on Twitter.

~
Eben: I miss youuuu!

Me: I miss you, too. :(

Eben: The guys and I have been talking about when we should go back to Miami to see you and Taylor.

Me: Really?

Eben: Yeah. We all really miss you two.

Me: Awww! We miss y'all, too. :'(

Eben: Soon.
~

He always ended our conversations with that. I had no clue why, but he did. I also had a message from Jack.

~
Jack: We are going to have to hang out soon.

Me: I knowww. Y'all were so much fun to hang out with.

Jack: Yeah. Even if it was only for a few hours.

Me: Crazy how you can get to know someone so quick and you feel like you've known them forever.

Jack: Yeah. I feel like I've known you for years.

Me: Same here. Lol.
~

After that, I watched Scream. Once I got bored of that, I turned on Glee. It was really boring without Taylor in the house. She was the only one who kept me sane. I checked the time. 8:47. Great, I had about 3 more hours until Taylor would even get out of night practice. I decided to text Seth.

~
Me: Hey.

Seth: Hey. What's up?

Me: The ceiling. Don't ask dumb questions.

Seth: I had that one coming, didn't I?

Me: Yeah. You kinda did.

Seth: I'll remember that for next time lol.

Me: So what are you up to?

Seth: Hanging out with Gino. What about you?

Me: Being bored out of my mind because Taylor isn't home.

Seth: Oh.

Me: Just oh?

Seth: I could come over...

Me: Sure. Taylor won't be home for 3 more hours.

Seth: Nice. Be over in 10 :)
~

It was actually less than 10 minutes when he showed up. We sat on the couch and talked.

"Do you want to watch a movie?" I asked him. "You can pick."

"Sure. Do you have Netflix?" he asked.

"Of course!" I smiled.

"Okay. Then let's watch The Conjuring," he suggested.

My heart dropped. I hated horror movies. They scared me to death, but I obliged. The movie started, and Seth scooted closer towards me. When it got to the first jump scare, I immediately covered my face and tried not to scream.

"Hey, everything's okay," he comforted me and wrapped an arm around the shoulders.

I scooted as close to him as possible and wrapped my arms around his torso. When the next jump scare came up, I buried my face into his chest. We had watched an hour and 30 minutes of the movie, and I was terrified. I was shaking, and Seth noticed.

"Do you want me to turn it off?" he asked.

"Maybe.." I sighed because I felt bad because he had chosen the movie.

He grabbed the remote and turned it off.

"I'm sorry," he pulled me onto his lap. "I didn't mean to chose a movie that'd scare you that bad."

"No, it's okay," I gave him a small smile.

"Are you sure?" he pushed a strand of hair behind my ear and looked into my eyes.

"Yeah," I nodded.

"Okay," he smiled and pulled me into a hug.

He pushed me back some so he could look into my eyes. Our faces were so close.

"Maybe.." he looked deep into my eyes. "Me and you... Jace and Taylor... could go on a double date."

"I'll have to ask Taylor," I smiled.

"When are we going to go on our first date?" he asked me.

"I don't know," I smiled. "When are we?"

"Do you have work tomorrow?" he asked.

"Only morning shift. I'll be out by noon," I told him.

"Do you want to go to the beach tomorrow around 1:30? We can grab some lunch before," he suggested.

"That sounds great," I smiled.

I realized that I was still on his lap. His eyes dropped down to my lips. I cupped his face in my hands and kissed him passionately. That's when the front door opened.

"Whoa!" Taylor yelled.

I tore my lips from Seth's and looked up at Taylor.

"Um.. You're home and hour and a half early," I said awkwardly.

"Were you about to do something? Cuz I don't need to know," she was still standing at the door.

"No, no, no," I got off of Seth and stood up.

He stood up as well.

"We were just watching a movie," Seth explained.

"That's not what it looked like when I walked in, but whatever you say," she raised her hands in defense.

"Taylor," I whined.

"Sorry, sorry. I'll leave you two alone," she was trying so hard not to laugh as she went to her room.

"Sorry about her," I laughed nervously.

"I better get going," Seth said.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" I asked.

"Definitely," he smiled before kissing me slowly one last time.

I watched as he walked outside and drove off. Tomorrow was going to be quite interesting.
