Hayden's pov

I woke up and immediately threw on my humane society shirt along with some regular skinny jeans and my old black Vans. I did my usually makeup: foundation, concealer, powder, mascara, and eyebrows. I went to the kitchen and made myself some eggo waffles. I made some for everyone else, too. By the time they were done, everyone was starting to wake up. Jonah was the first one to grab his. Athena Taylor came out. I had already eaten, so I went to my room and brushed my teeth. I grabbed my phone and my keys before heading to the front door.

"Bye, guys! See you later! I get off at noon today! " I yelled as I left.

I got to work and immediately went to go see Ajax. I spent as much time with him as I could before it was time for me to get off work. It was a fairly busy day at the humane society. A lot of families had came in, and almost all of them adopted either a cat or a dog. I was glad because most of the ones that got adopted had been here for a while. It was noon before I knew it.

"I'm off," I told JC as I walked to the front door.

"You always get the half days," he shook his head and laughed. "Lazy."

"You're just mad because you never get any," I smiled innocently before leaving.

I drove back to the house, and I walked inside to hear the guys erupt in laughter.

"What's going on in here?" I asked as I set my keys down on the stool by the door.

"Nothing," Zach answered quickly.

"I heard y'all laughing," I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Yeah, but we weren't doing anything," Zach said.

"You make no sense," I shook my head and laughed.

"Anyway... How was work?" Jack asked me.

"It was good. Quite a few animals were adopted," I informed them.

"That's good," Daniel said.

"Yeah. It was pretty good business for only half of a day. They still have a few more hours left until they close, though," I explained.

I sat in the living room and talked with the guys for another hour or so.

Taylor's pov

Justin came by the studio and watched me go through all of my routines. I did them so many times. Jacob called for a water break, and Justin handed me a water.

"You're doing awesome," he told me.

"Thanks. I try," I took a sip of my water.

"You excited? We leave in two days," he smiled.

"Definitely. I've been counting down," I laughed.

"I'm bringing in the rest of my dancers so you can meet them and practice all together in a few minutes," he informed me.

"Okay. Thanks for letting me know," I nodded.

"Of course. After your break, I'm going to go make sure that they are on their way. That'll give you some more time to rehearse, not that you need anymore practice," he corrected himself.

"I got what you meant," I laughed.

He laughed nervously as Jacob called for the break to be over. Justin left, and I practiced for s few more minutes. That's when the door opened, and five other dancers walked in along with Justin. Three of them were guys, and two of them were girls. That made me the third girl dancer.

"Guys, this is Taylor. She is another one of the backup dancers. I would like for all of you to become friends, so this will work out," Justin told them.

There were a few "hey"s and "hi"s.

"Taylor, this is Ava, Bri, Cody, Andy, and Ty," Justin pointed to each one of them.

"Nice to meet you all," I smiled shyly at them.

No, no, no. This was not the time for me to be shy. I wasn't shy around anyone at my dance studio because I had been dancing for what seemed like forever here. Everyone is close, and we are a family. I had no clue why I wasn't shy around Justin. Why am I starting to be like this now? This is the worst time for this to start up again.

"Lets star with What Do You Mean," Justin suggested.

We all got in our positions. I closed my eyes and pretended that they were people from my dance studio. The music started, and I gained my confidence again. I actually did good. I didn't mess up or anything. I just tried to keep my mind off of the fact that I was dancing with complete strangers that I had just met. We all hit our last poses before the song ended.

"That was great," Justin applauded. "I have to go make a call, so you guys talk amongst yourselves."

He walked out, and everyone started talking.

"So how long have you been dancing?" the girl with long, dirty blond hair asked, I was pretty sure Justin had said her name was Ava.

"My whole life," I answered shyly.

"That's why you're so good," she said mainly to herself.

"No. You guys are so much better than me," I picked at my nails.

"Are you kidding me? You're amazing," Ty smiled.

"Thanks," I half smiled.

"We all have handshakes together, so that's the first thing we are going to work on after we get out of here," Andy told me.

I was actually starting to really like this. They were so nice.

"We all live together in a house, in case you didn't know," Cody informed me.

"That sounds fun," I nodded.

"If Justin keeps you as a backup dancer, and I'm positive that he will, you can move in with us. Be part of the family," Bri said.

"I'd love to, but what about my best friend? She's like my sister, and I couldn't leave her," I told them.

"She could come with you," Ava suggested, and they all exchanged looks and shrugged.

"I'll keep that in mind," I smiled.
