Hayden's pov

We all got out of the limo. We walked inside, and the lady walked us to our table. We all sat down, and Jack ended up next to me again. Daniel was still by Taylor. They were so cute together. I wished they would just date already.

"Hi. I'm Melanie. I'll be your server today," a girl about my age announced.

She kept eyeing all of the guys. Whenever she looked at Taylor and I, she would glare at us. This was not about to happen.

"Can I start you off with some drink?" she asked us.

"I'll take a sweet tea," I told her.

"I didn't ask you," she rolled her eyes and fake smiled.

"Uhm... I'll take a sweet tea," Eben started.

Taylor and I looked at each other. I knew Taylor wasn't going to say anything because she was shy. She might if she got worked up enough, though. I wouldn't doubt her. Everyone said their drink orders except for Taylor and I.

"I-" Taylor was cut off.

"Okay. I'll be back with your drinks," Melanie said.

"I think you forgot two people," Jack informed her.

"Oh, right," she smiled innocently. "What would you like to drink?"

"Sweet tea," Taylor and I said at the same time.

Melanie rolled her eyes and walked away.

"Can we ask for a new waitress?" I turned to Jack.

"She's just jealous, Hayden. Don't worry about her. If she does anything else we'll tell her manager," he replied.

I sighed and looked at Taylor. She shrugged. A few minutes later, Melanie came back with the drinks. She handed everyone their drinks and then went to set Taylor's down. She tilted the cup a little, and Daniel pulled Taylor onto his lap before the tea could spill on her. Taylor gasped.

"Oh my god. I'm so sorry," Melanie faked being sorry.

"Don't let it happen again," Daniel glared at her.

Melanie nodded her head, realizing that what she was doing was just making the guys mad. She cleaned up the tea, and Taylor moved back to her seat.

"You'd think the people here would be classy since they work at such a nice restaurant," Corbyn said to Jonah.

We all could tell that Melanie was getting mad. After she cleaned up the mess, she went to the kitchen and came back a few minutes later with a notepad.

"Are you ready to order?" she asked us.

We all ordered and asked if we were all on one check.

"Yes," Jonah answered.

"No," I said the same time as Jonah.

Jonah and I looked at each other.

"Don't you dare," I glared at him.

"Too late," he smiled. "We're all on one check."

"Okay...?" Melanie walked away.

"Jonah Marais!" I yelled.

"Hayden Williams!" he yelled back.

We both laughed.

"How dare you!" I folded my arms.

"We are paying. End of discussion," Jack told me.

I sighed. Taylor hasn't said anything.

"You okay, Tay?" I asked her.

"I can't get over how rude she was," she rolled her eyes.

"It's okay. We'll leave a complaint," Daniel told her.

We all talks until Melanie came out with the food. She handed all of us our food without a word before leaving. We all ate our food, and once we finished, we continued talking.

"This is honestly the best food I've ever eaten," Zach said.

"I agree," Eben nodded.

"I'm so full," Taylor held her stomach.

"What are you talking about? I'm ready for dessert," Corbyn looked at us like we were crazy.

"Okay, fatty," I rolled my eyes and laughed.

Melanie came back to our table.

"Would you like any dessert? Not that you need anymore," she looked at Taylor.

"Look who's talking," I said under my breath.

Melanie glared at me while the guys were trying not to laugh.

"I think we're good," Daniel told her.

We paid and sat at the table for a while longer. We all just talked about random things. Eventually, we got up and went outside. We stood outside of the restaurant talking. That's when Melanie walked outside. Everyone got quiet as I walked up to her.

"What do you want?" she rolled her eyes.

"For you to apologize for how you acted in there. That was very unprofessional," I folded my arms.

"Why should I apologize? There's no reason," she shrugged.

"That's not what your manager is going to say after we file a complaint," I raised my eyebrows.

"For saying your friend doesn't need any dessert? I was just telling the truth," she said.

I quickly raised my arm to punch her, but Jack wrapped his arms around my waist and picked me up, pulling me away.

"Jack! Let me go!" I tried to loosen his grip.

Melanie had ran away.

"She got away," I threw my hands in the air angrily and let them fall back down.

"I wasn't going to let you fight her," Jack grabbed my hands.

"Why not? She deserved it," I sighed.

"Hayden, you can't fight everyone that insults me," Taylor walked up and set her hand on my shoulder.

"Yes I can," I looked at her.

"No. I have to stick up for myself sometimes, and sometimes you just have to let it go," she sighed.

"Taylor, you're my best friend. Do you really think I'd let someone get away with that?" I asked her.

I shrugged. Taylor smiled. I let go of Jack's hands and hugged her. We both laughed.

"Now I'm going to go file a complaint," I told everyone.

"I'll go with you," Taylor said.

We walked inside together. We talked to the manager, and he said that he'd deal with it. We walked back outside to the guys and got in the limo. Then we were on our way back to my house.
