Chapter 58

Hayden's pov

Rehearsals ended, and we all hung out backstage while we waited for Justin to finish up whatever he was doing. I got to know all of the other backup dancers, and they were all super chill. I really liked hanging out with them, and I was glad I'd be able to spend more time with them while on tour with Taylor. My phone started to ring, so I picked it up. Eben was facetiming me.

"Hi!" I squealed as I answered the call.

"Who's that?" Taylor dove to the spot next to me on the couch.

"How's it going?" he asked me.

"Eben!" Taylor snatched my phone.

"Hey, Taylor!" he beamed. "How's tour?"

"Who's Eben?" Bri asked, walking behind the couch to look at the phone.

"He was our opening act when we went on tour," Zach told her.

"Ohhh. He's cute," Bri she smirked.

"He's mine. Back off," I joked.

We laughed as Taylor and Eben continued their conversation.

"So, you show up with all these hot singers, and you're friends with another one?" Ava asked.

"I don't know. They're not that cute," I shrugged.

"Excuse me. I'm your boyfriend," Jack scoffed.

"Oh, really?" Bri asked.

"No, it's a joke," I laughed.

"I feel offended," Zach folded his arms.

"You're cute, don't listen to her," Bri told Zach.

"I think Daniel is the cutest," Taylor joined in the conversation and looked at Daniel, who was sitting next to her.

"Kiss!" Christina yelled.

Everyone laughed, and they kissed. I decided to be dramatic and fell off the couch.

"Hayden, get up," Jonah laughed.

"I can't. I'm melting," I couldn't stop laughing because for some reason that was funny.

He walked over and helped me back up on the couch before sitting next to me.

"Hello? I'm still here," Eben said from my phone.

I grabbed it and picked it up off the couch.

"Sorry, Taylor set my phone down when she kissed Daniel," I explained.

"Wow, I feel so loved," he said sarcastically.

"We love you," I told him.

"Love you, too," he laughed.

"Bro, how's L.A.?" Jonah took my phone.

"Why is everyone taking my phone?" I sighed.

"It's awesome. I've been in the studio a lot," Eben answered Jonah.

"Do I get to hear a sneak peak?" I snatched my phone back.

"Of course," he nodded.

"Do I get to?" Jonah asked him.

"Nope. Only Hayden," he smiled.

"Come see me and Taylor one day, okay?" I asked.

"I would love to. Whenever I'm free, I'll come see you two," he promised.

"Yay!" I squealed.

"Well, I better get back to the studio. I'll call you later," he said. "Bye."
