Hayden's pov
What if I was really just living through Taylor? Why am I so scared to get into another relationship after my ex? I'm being ridiculous. I just need to get over what happened and move on with my life.
"Hayden?" Jonah asked.
I blinked a few times before looking up at him.
"You okay?" he furrowed his eyebrows.
"Yeah," I nodded. "Im fine. Just tried."
"Are you sure?" Justin questioned.
"Mhmm," I nodded again.
"Hayden, if you're really tired just go back to the room," Taylor told me.
I just folded my arms and walked out of the room. I was so caught up with what Taylor had said earlier that I couldn't focus. I pushed the door open and cracked it so Taylor could still get in later. I closed the curtains and turned the lights out. I grabbed the remote and started scrolling through the channels. There was a soft knock at the door before I saw Jonah sneak in before cracking the door back the way it was.
"Hayden," he whispered.
I sat up and rubbed my eyes. Jonah walked up and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Are you sure you're okay?" he asked, worried.
"To be honest, no, I'm not," I sighed.
"Do you want to talk about it?" he looked me in the eyes.
"I really don't. It's in the past. I just don't need to think about it," I shook my head.
"Oh, okay," he said.
He stood up, but I grabbed his hand.
"Wait," I paused.
He looked back at me.
"I'm sorry. It just makes me really upset. I want to tell you, but I don't want to talk about it right now," I sighed.
"I understand," he nodded.
I scooted over and patted the spot where I was just laying. He sat down and yawned. He's cute when he's sleepy.
"Taylor won't be back for a bit, and I know you're tired. Can you just stay for a while?" I asked him.
"Yeah," he rubbed his eyes.
He laid down next to me and looked at me. I smiled, and he wrapped his arms around my waist to pull me closer.
"Jonah," I laughed.
He just pulled me ever closer and tangled our legs together. He's so cuddly. I was really enjoying this. This is what I missed about being in a relationship. I closed my eyes and snuggled into him before drifting off to sleep.
*4:00 a.m.*
I woke up by Jonah slowly trying to get out of bed without waking me up. I rubbed my eyes and looked at him. He looked back at me and smiled slightly."Sorry, I was trying not to wake you up," he whispered.
"It's okay," I sat up.
"I have to get ready for my flight. We are supposed to be there by five," he explained.
I got out of bed and grabbed my phone off the charger. Jonah was already at the door.
"Wait up," I told him.
He waited for me at the door. I ran my fingers through my hair as we walked to his room. Corbyn and Christina were sharing a room, so Jonah was all by himself. He picked a few things up around the room and put them in his suitcase. I laid down on the closest bed and turned the tv on. I went through the channel
for a good five minutes. All of a sudden, Jonah jumped on top of me."Jonah! You're squishing me!" I squealed.
"How rude," he pouted.
"You started it," I laughed.
He laughed, but then his smile faded.
"What?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
He glanced down at my lips and started to lean in. There was a loud bang, and we both jumped up.
"Morning!" Zach barged into the room.
"Hey, Zach," I sighed.
"What? Did I interrupt something?" he asked.
"Nope. Not at all," Jonah shook his head.
"Just helping Jonah pack," I said.
"I really wish we weren't leaving," Zach pouted.
"Yeah same. It's so upsetting," Jonah agreed.
"You have to work on your music, and I have to be with Taylor," I reminded them.
"Yeah, but I wish we could just stay with you and work on music at the same time," Jonah said.
"You also need to go home and see your families," I pointed out.
"That's true. I miss my momma," Zach added.
Jonah closed his suitcase, and we all walked to Daniel and Jack's room. Corbyn and them were in there still packing.
"When did Christina leave?" I asked Corbyn.
"Around three this morning," he replied.
"That's so early," I raised my eyebrows.
"I can tell you're not a morning person," I heard Justin's voice behind me and felt his arms wrap around my waist.
"Why are you up so early?" I asked him.
"So I can say goodbye to the guys, duh," he said.
"Thanks for letting us tag along to see Taylor," Daniel told Justin.
"No problem. Anything to make her happy," he walked over to Daniel, and they did the bro handshake thing that guys do.
I plopped down on the bed and turned on the tv. Then Taylor walked in the room.
"Hey, Tay," I smiled at her.
She looked sleep deprived. Her hair was thrown up in a messy bun, and she was wearing a black hoodie with navy blue athletic shorts.
"Hey," she yawned.
She rubbed her eyes as Daniel walked up to her. He placed his hands on her waist, and she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"You're cute when you're sleepy," he smiled.
"BARF!" I yelled and threw a pillow at them.
"Let me live my life," Taylor whined.
"Be nice," Jack stole the remote from me.
"Hey! Give that back!" I got up and jumped on his back.
He sat down on the bed and leaned backwards. I was being squished once again this morning.
"Jack," I whined. "Get off of me, fatty."
"Nah, this is comfy. I think I'll take a nap," I knew he was smirking even though I couldn't see his face.
"Okay, fine," I kicked him in the stomach.
"Ow," he groaned and sat up.
"You deserved that," Corbyn told him.
"See, Bean agrees with me," I said.
"Loser," Jack laughed and rolled his eyes.
