*skip to the day of their flight*
Hayden's pov

My alarm went off at 3 a.m. Our flight was leaving at 4:30. I yawned as I got up and took a shower. I threw on black Nike shorts and then my gray Thrasher hoodie. I threw my hair up in a cute messy bun before doing my eyebrows and putting on some mascara. I packed my last minute bathroom things like makeup, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, etc etc. I went back to my room and shoved the bag in the suitcase. I put on gray socks and then slipped on my black and white Nike slides. Then I rolled my suitcase to the living room. All of the guys were awake, somewhat, and were trying to get their things ready as well.

"Y'all look so tired," I laughed.

"So do you," Zach shot back.

"Thanks, Zach. Love you, too," I said sarcastically.

"Bro, she said she loved you. Just take it," Eben told him.

"Very funny, Eben," I glared at him.

"How are we going to get to the airport if we aren't driving the cars?" Jack asked.

"Crap. I didn't think about that," I said to myself.

"Someone call an uber," Corbyn laughed.

It took about ten minutes, but an uber driver that had a van showed up to take us to the airport. We shoved all of our luggage in the back and then piled in the car. It took us about 20 minutes to get there because of traffic. We got our stuff out of the back and paid the driver. We went inside and found some place to get breakfast. We ate and then waited for our plane to be called. Eben was on a separate flight since he had to go back to L.A. so he left right after we ate.

"It's too early," I yawned and leaned into Jonah since he was standing closest to me.

"You're definitely going to sleep on the flight," Jonah laughed and wrapped his arms around me.

"I think we all are," Jack agreed.

"I call window seat," Corbyn blurted.

"I call anything that's not a window seat," Zach said.

"I honestly don't even care," Daniel shrugged.

"Y'all are talking about seats, and I'm trying to go to sleep. Goodnight," I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around Jonah's torso, burying my face into his chest.

"You can't sleep yet. We aren't on the plane," Corbyn told me.

"Too bad," I said without opening my eyes.

The guys laughed, but then talked quietly about nothing in particular. Quite a few minutes passed, and we were still standing. I was actually about to fall asleep, so I opened my eyes.

"Flight 278 is now boarding," the lady over the intercom announced.

I refused to leave Jonah because he was a good cuddle buddy. We got on the plane, and Jonah got the window seat since I didn't want it. I waited until after we took off to get comfy. After the plane was steady going, I leaned into Jonah and wrapped my arms around his torso, so my head was laying on his chest. Why was this so comfortable? I ended up falling asleep.

*two hours later*
I woke up and looked up at Jonah, who was looking out the window. I smiled, and he looked down at me.

"Oh, you're awake," he smiled.

"How much longer do we have?" I asked.

"Four more hours," he answered.

"I'm starting to get a headache," I sighed.

"Just go back to sleep. I'll wake you up when we are landing," he told me.

"I feel bad for sleeping the whole time," I pouted.

"It's fine. I took a nap earlier, and I make take another one," he said.

"Okay. Goodnight for now," I laughed before closing my eyes again and going to sleep.

*three hours later*
I opened my eyes, and I was still cuddled up to Jonah. He had his headphones in and was scrolling through his music. I sat up, and he looked at me.

"Did I wake you up?" he asked with a guilty look on his face.

"No, not at all," I smiled because of how cute he looked.

"What?" the corner of his mouth turned up into a half smile.

"Nothing," I looked down and took out my phone.

"We still have an hour left on the flight, so if you want to go back to sleep that's fine," he informed me.

"Thanks, but I think I got enough sleep for now," I giggled.

"I feel rude," he said as he took out his earbuds.

"Jonah, it's fine," I told him.

"No, let's talk. I'm not just gonna sit here and act like you don't exist," he shook his head.

"Okay then. Whatever you say," I shrugged.

We talked about them releasing new music and when they are going to get back in the studio since they hadn't even gone while they were in Miami. We talked about literally everything, and I felt so close to him. Daniel was a few rows ahead of us, and he got up and quickly walked back to me and Jonah. He pushed me over, so I was basically in Jonah's seat now. Jonah was pushed against the wall.

"Whoa, kid. What are you doing?" I asked him.

"You are Taylor's best friend. Should I ask her out or wait?" he asked, clearly freaking out.

"Calm down. Breathe," I demonstrated deep breaths, and he did the same. "There you go."

"I'm still freaking out. My heart is racing. Feel it," he grabbed my hand and put it on his chest.

He wasn't lying. I pulled my hand back and laughed.

"This isn't funny," he furrowed his eyebrows.

I looked at Jonah and then looked back at Daniel.

"It kinda is," Jonah nodded.

"Guys," he pleaded.

"Okay. Being serious now. I think you should do what your heart is telling you. It's cliche, but it's true. I know for a fact that Taylor will say yes if you ask her," I explained.

"I just want the timing to be right, ya know?" he sighed.

"It's gonna be okay, bro. You just have to chill out some," Jonah told him.

"Thanks, guys," Daniel smiled.

"Now can you leave? I'm kinda squished," I told him.

"Right. Sorry," he laughed before going back to his seat.
