Hayden's pov
We got to the lobby, and I made myself a bowl of cereal. Everyone sat at the same table we had sat at last night when we ate dinner. We sat in the same places except Christina was beside Corbyn. We all talked about how excited we were that Taylor was going to arrive later that night. We also hugged Daniel about asking her out, and we had to fill Christina in because she didn't know about any of that.
"Ahhh! That's amazing! I ship it!" she squealed.
"That's what I said!" I laughed.
"I'm so nervous. I might not even ask her out tonight," Daniel said.
"She's going to say yes," Jack told him.
"Really, man. Don't worry about it," Jonah added.
"We're here for you," Zach nodded.
"Yeah, and everyone knows you two like each other anyway," Corbyn said.
Daniel eventually gained his confidence back. Everyone finished their breakfast, and we all went back up to the room. Jack wasn't paying attention, and I was walking behind him to I decided to scare him.
"Jack!" I yelled and jumped onto his back.
"What the-" he yelled and caught me before I slipped off.
"Aww. You actually caught me," I laughed.
"Well, I wasn't going to let you fall," he said before setting me down on one of my beds and walking to the other one.
"Jack!" Zach yelled and tried to jump on his back like I had done.
Jack caught him as well, and Zach kissed him on the cheek as a joke.
"You caught me!" Zach mimicked me in a girly voice.
"Jachary is so real!" Christina and I screamed.
"Oh no. Not again," Jack let go of Zach.
Zach being his dramatic self, fell to the ground and yelled.
"Ow! I fell on my butt!" he whined.
"Zach, I've never met anyone so dramatic in my life," I told him.
"Good. That makes me special," he smiled.
"That's not what I... okay," I agreed.
Everyone laughed. Christina cuddled up to Corbyn, and they were so cute together. I shipped them so hard.
"What do y'all want to do in the meantime?" Corbyn asked everyone.
"That's up to you guys," Jonah shrugged. "I don't care what we do."
"Same. It doesn't matter to me," I agreed.
"We should go to the mall or something," Christina suggested.
"I'm down," Jack nodded.
"Me too. We just have to be careful since we have fans everywhere. I don't want to cause a problem or anything," Zach said.
"If it gets bad, then we will come back," Corbyn told him.
"Sounds good," I agreed.
We all got up, and I quickly went to my room and grabbed my wristlet that had money and extra stuff in it.
"Bet the stairs takes less time," Zach said.
"I'm taking the elevator," Corbyn shook his head.
"Me too. I'm lazy," Jack pressed the button for the elevator.
All the guys, except Zach, and Christina were taking the elevator. I was about to step in, but then looked at Zach.
"Race ya!" I yelled and bolted to the stairs.
I slung the door open and basically jumped down a flight of stairs. Zach wasn't too far behind. We finished the third flight, and I raced to the door. Zach was right behind me and ran into me. Somehow, my back was on the door, but my hand my on the door handle. Zach's hand was on top of mine, and our faces were so close together. We were breathing heavily.
"Well, this is awkward," I awkwardly smiled.
He smiled for a split second, but then his smile faded.
"Did we beat them?" he asked before moving me out of the way and opening the door.
He ran out into the lobby, and I was right behind him. We didn't see the guys until we heard the elevator doors open.
"Yes!" Zach and I high-fived.
"You beat us, but now who's all sweaty?" Daniel pointed out.
"I don't stink. I put on deodorant," I reassured them.
"Good," Jack laughed.
We all piled in an uber, and it took about 10 minutes or so to get to the mall. We all went inside and found a map of the stores. We all split up. Corbyn and Christina were together since they wanted to spend time together. Zach ran off, and Jonah went after him. That left Daniel, Jack, and I together.
"Zach is going to waste money on stupid stuff," Jack laughed.
"Maybe Jonah will keep him in place," I shrugged.
"Maybe," Daniel restated.
Daniel, Jack, and I walked around for a little while. We went into a few stores, but I didn't see anything that I really liked. Nothing caught my eye. Eventually, I got hungry.
"Guys, can we stop at the food court?" I asked them.
"Sure," Jack nodded.
We went to the food court and found a chinese place to eat. Jack tried to argue and pay for my food, but I refused. Eventually, he gave up and let me pay for myself. We sat down at a table and ate. Once we finished, we decided to chill out for a bit and talk.
"Have you calmed your nerves, Daniel?" I looked up at him.
"Kinda... I'm still nervous, though. I really like her, but I'm scared that this is too soon," he sighed.
"If you're still iffy about it by tonight, then just wait. No one is pushing you. I understand," I told him.
"Thanks, Hayden," he smiled.
"Anytime," I nodded.
"I wanted to go look at one more thing really quick. You guys can stay here and wait. It won't take me that long," Daniel announced and stood up.
"Okay," Jack and I said at the same time.
Daniel walked off, and Jack and I looked at each other. We both laughed.
"Are you excited? You get to see your best friend tonight," he smiled.
"Is that even a question? I'm super excited!" I beamed. "I've missed her so much."
We looked into each other's eyes, and I could tell he was genuinely happy for me.
