Chapter 44: Shooting Star

Carmela's POV

Nagulat ako nang bigla akong hatakin ni Nash papuntang rooftop. Pagkadating namin dun, may comforter, may mga foods and drinks, tapos parang nasa isa akong magical land! The lights were not that bright but it's perfect for us to see each other. There was a small television in front of the comforter. There were also petals everywhere

"Woah! Nash! Saan 'to?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko sa kanya. He was just staring at me then he shifted his gaze to the sky. It was full of stars. Being here is an experience and you could actually think that you can reach the stars. I smiled as I stare from above. In my peripheral view, I saw him looking at me, smiling.

"Sa rooftop 'to. Damn ang ganda ng nakikita ko." He said as he stares at me. I looked at him and smiled. "Don't stare! Alam kong maganda ako! Go and paint a portrait of me. Hang it in your room!" Natatawang sabi ko.

"Nah, I could just look at you all day."

"Ha! Share mo lang? Pero anong ginagawa natin dito?" Ranong ko pero nagulat ako nang hilahin niya ako papunta doon sa comforter at inihiga. Putangina, our position is weird! He's on top of me, smiling at me like an idiot! My god, this is so fucking weird!

"Maganda ka sana, may pagka-engot ka lang. You know what? I just want to give you a special day, before we leave Cebu. Hindi ba maganda? I planned this, while we were away, I asked some of the staff to arrange this." Sabi niya. Nginitian ko nalang siya at humiga dun sa comforter nang tuluyan niya akong bitawan.

"Hays, sana ganito nalang ang buhay 'no?" Mahinang sabi ko.

"Ang alin? 'Yung tayong dalawa lang?"

"Napapraning ka na ba? I mean 'yung ganito kaganda. 'Yung walang problema. Damn, I wish it could always be like this."

"Oh. It will, Carmela. Not now but soon. 'Wag kang mawala ng pag-asa na makakamit mo rin 'yung ganitong buhay! Malay mo kasama mo na ako no'n, not just an admirer but as your husband."

"Inamo! Ang ganda na ng moment ko eh!" Natawa nalang siya nang hampasin ko siya ng unan.

"By the way, nagustuhan mo ba?"

"Of course!"

Maya-maya pa ay tumugtog ang Sayo ng Silent Sanctuary. Napangiti nalang ako. This is a romantic scene. I closed my eyes and imagined all that happened to us. From the foundation day, the horrors that had happened, and until now. We stayed strong even in harsh waves. Can we still survive if we add more years? I mean, I'm not rushing things, but to see that we already passed those events, I can't help but to think that we can be together for once.

He suddenly stood up. He offers his hand in front of me. "Hey, can I have this dance?" He asked me. I laughed when I saw him blushing. He's so cute! Lalo na kapag namumula ang mga pisngi niya.

"Hoy tinatanong kita!" Sabi niya at mahinang tinapik ang braso ko.

"Para kang bata, Nash!"

"Bata na kung bata. Anong magagawa mo kung gusto kitang isayaw? Would you reject this young man who is asking you to dance?" He playfully said.

"Of course not!" I exclaimed at took his hand.

Our bodies collide, our heartbeats were side by side, and I can hear it beat for each other. I let myself lean onto his chest as his head rests on mine. We continue to sway as the music plays. I can hear him hum. Fuck! I can't handle this feelings anymore. I need to tell him now! I need to let it all out!

"N-Nash?" I called him out. He stopped us from swaying and held my chin to see his face.

"Yes?"
