Kabanata XXIX

16 days after that trip to the beach, hindi na gaano kabigat ang nafefeel ko. Si Donny and Elliana, nasa bahay everyday para mangamusta and they agree na nagkakaron naman na nga daw ng improvements.

"Hindi ka na ganun kagloomy, pero I know you're still thinking of him." sabi ni Elliana habang nakikihiga sa kama ko ngayon.

"Talaga?" tanong ko ulit.

"Its great na you released your stress. Its been months, we could've done it earlier." sabi ni Donny na naglalaro ng PS4 sa lapag sa kwarto ko.

Ako talaga, nakahiga lang while sila nakikigulo sa buhay ko. Hinahayaan ko lang sila as they voluntarily want to do this for me din naman. Mayamaya, Elliana answered the call sa phone ko na nilalaro niya.

"Hello? Yes? Who's this?" asked Elliana who was on the phone.

"Ohhh, okay. I'll give her the phone! Alex, si Marie daw."

I got too excited and grabbed the phone from Elliana. Si Marie!!!!! I haven't seen her for so long because kaya pala siya nawala was she flew overseas to study.

"Alexandraaaaaaa! Favor naman oh!"

"Huuuuy! Nakauwi ka na pala! Ano ba yun?"

"May project kasi ako s photography class ko, diba summer naman kaya I took this! Eh yun nga, I wanted to portray photos of my great friends here in Manila. Pwede ka ba?"

"Wow! I'd be glad to! Kelan ba yan?"

"Isama mo narin si Elliana and Donny! Uhm yun na nga eh, if pwede kayo this afternoon, kaya kaya?"

"No problem! I'll bring my camera so I can help you with your shots :)"

"Oo naman! Treat ko nalang kayo tonight ng drinks!"

"Sure ba! Sige, that's a deal na!"

"By the way.. may kasama tayo ah.. If you don't mind.." dagdag pa niya. I have no clue kung sino pa ang pwedeng kasama na mutual friend namin. "Yung iba is the Green Archers tsaka girlfriends nila. Okay lang ba?"

I fell silent and looked at Donny and Elliana who was listening too. Napaisip ako for a second pero alam ko sa sarili ko na kaya ko na... sana.

"Go for it," pag agree ni Donny. "Its about time, Alex." I agreed to what he said and thought of the next thing to ask Marie.

"S-si Ricci, may kasama ba?" I stuttered as I asked cautiously abd curiosly. Ito ang isa sa mga tanong ko na hindi naiwasan. I just wanted to know if kasama si Jean, baka lang kasi diba?

"Wala, babe! Yung mga naging kaibigan ko lang dito, tsaka syempre, RicciLex tayo forever. Oh paano, I'll send you the details nalang ha? See you?"

"Yup, see you! Ingat ka." I agreed sa kanya and dropped the call. I then looked at Elliana who gazed at me worriedly. "Kaya mo na kaya?"

"Kakayanin, Elliana! Ako pa, hmp!" sabi ko bravely and determined. Kailangan kong ipakita na masaya parin ako andyan man o wala siya.

Marie texted me the details and it was a casual photoshoot. Wear daw our normal clothes from one year ago nung we all first met. Nothing has changed naman sa style ko, I still wear the same set of clothes and I never wear dresses and blouses. Tshirt, shorts, basketball shoes, my hair in an updo style, lip tint para hindi ako maputla— yun lang! I never changed my style, change of heart lang. Woops.

So after a few more hours, we decided na magpunta na sa meeting place kung saan magshoshoot. We were having a good time sa car, singing along with happy songs that should lift up our mood.
