FIRST OFF, HAPPY 17TH BIRTHDAY MATTHEW ESPINOSA! Even though you won't see this, I just want to celebrate it and let people know that he is the reason (along with the rest of the guys, don't worry :p) that this book is up! HE IS THE REASON FOR SO MANY SMILES EACH DAY AND I LOVE HIM FOR THAT <3

Secondly, I'm thinking of doing a 'Story Ideas' book - I have so many ideas, but I know I won't be able to use them all. COMMENT WHAT YOU THINK DOWN BELOW :D

CAMERON’S POV

It’s been a day since I found out; it’s actually pretty unbelievable – if I hadn’t found out, I would’ve thought I’d be at the park with the same old healthy Ana.

But I wasn’t.

I mean, I was, but she couldn’t just expect me to think that she’s the same girl I saw a day ago. If anything, she’s fragile. Like a set of china dolls – once they’re broken, they’re broken; you can always glue their limbs back together like a freaky Frankenstein doctor, but you’ll always see the cracks in between.

We sat on the two swings side by side, creaking silently without a word. She was so perfect – even in just  trackpants and sweater. That’s when you know you have perfection sitting right beside you; when she doesn’t even have to try, but  can still give me the butterflies and make me feel like I’m falling head over heels.

Even though I know I shouldn’t be.

“What’s wrong?”  She piped up, looking at me with concern.

“Hmm? Nothing, why?” I asked, trying to act normal as if I wasn’t staring at her like a weirdo.

“You were just staring at me with this look.” She giggled.

I mentally slapped myself in the face for letting her catch me – top marks for discreet perving Cam, well done! [sarcasmmm]

“I mean who wouldn’t?” I chuckled nervously.

“Wh-”

“I meant to say you’re b-beautiful.” I blurted out, immediately covering my mouth with my hand as the words tumbled out. It was like word vomit [‘Mean Girls’ XD], and I just couldn’t help myself.

“W-We should head back.” I rushed, basically lifting her up from the swing so she didn’t hurt herself or anything.

“Cameron – I’m fine.” She replied sternly, brushing herself off once she stood up from my grip.

Oh my God, what was happening to me. I felt my face flush yet again seeing as I just couldn’t be a normal human being around her.

“Don’t treat me differently, just because you know about me – I’m still Ana.” She asked, her voice softening as she held my shoulder softly.

I simply nodded and took her hand from my shoulder into my own, ignoring the shocked look that was on her face for a millisecond.

“Will you go on a date with me?” I rushed, breaking the painful silence between us as we continue to make our way back to the hotel, completely unaware of what I was getting myself into once the first word just had to tumble out of my mouth so stupidly.

“I m-mean, I’m really starting to like you Analise, and I was wondering if it would be cool if we could um… If we could go out on a proper date sometime?” I finished, breathing out as I got it all off of my chest.

“You want to take me… out on a date?” She questioned in disbelief.

“Y-Yeah, I mean… yeah.” I stammered, mentally sighing at my sudden stupidity.

“I’m not going to treat you differently. It’s just two teenagers, going out on a date - pretty usual thing if you ask me.” I finished off, glad to see a small smile growing on her face as I spoke.

“I’d – Y-yeah, I’d love to.” She answered, squeezing my hand in her small palm, sending little static-like tingles throughout my body.

“C’mon, we better start packing for tomorrow.” I told her as we walked hand in hand over to the elevator, while I tried to hide my smile and instead play it cool.

ANALISE’S POV

I had spent the whole afternoon packing like everyone else, but I just couldn’t concentrate.  I sat down on the bed and sighed while entering my imagination, thinking up mini fantasies in my head of how my first date ever with Cameron would go along as I half-mindedly continued to retrieve the neat stacks of clothes from my side drawer, packing them into my luggage.

“What’s th-” I quietly asked myself as I came across a scrunched up plain grey hoodie with a warm fleecy inside, until I realised it was Matt’s – it was from the day he lent me his jacket while he shivered in the cold.

I laughed at the memory, the warm feeling growing inside of me as I knew I had miraculously made a friend that day, with someone who wanted nothing to do with me.

As I stood up to return the jacket to Matthew, a small piece of frayed paper fluttered from the pocket, landing face down on the carpeted floor, where on the back of the sheet was neat, cursive print, that was close to fading away.

‘I love you forever and always – Vic xx’

Turning the small piece around, careful not to further damage it, I saw the familiar photo of Matthew and the beautiful girl that stood beside him, as they both smiled under a frame of small white flowers and a ‘Welcome to Prom’ banner above.

I think Victoria was more than what Matthew had made it out to be.
